Really fun and I love the art! I kinda struggled the first few attempts, so it might be a bit too hard (or maybe I'm just bad).

Pretty cool! Impressive how much was made in so little time!

Nicely polished! I might be just bad but the balancing is very tough, the arrow towers seem kind of weak for how much they cost?

Developer(+1)

They kind of are, with upgrades they get a lot better, but it can be tricky to get those. Once the jam is over I plan to release a big balance tweak to make the game more enjoyable. Glad you had fun!

I saw the name of the game and I had to play it. I've been working on a hex based game for the last 6 years and I couldn't help myself. I was immediately surprised that you made a town building game in such a short amount of time and then realized that it was a town building tower defense game. Insane. Good job on this one!

Scope creep fears you... how did you manage this in time!! wow!

Developer(+2)

There was originally going like 4 more buildings and three more mechanics haha. It's for the best it shrunk a bit!

Developer

This is my first time doing a jam with two developers, and I was surprised at how much we were able to get done! We also tried really hard to keep the scope around what we were confident we could do and we even had to cut a few things.

Fantastically polished little experience!

The cozy vibes totally belie how ruthless those gigantic skeletons are, I still don’t understand how they bully my army so effortlessly!

Truly, a great job by the 4 of you here, well done!

It is crazy to me that you managed to make all of this in four days. Great job!

I really enjoyed this one.  It's somewhat similar to a concept my team came up with before what we settled on, so it's cool to see it realized here, especially with such quality.  The balance between expanding, upgrading, and defending is well done and enjoyable.  For me it was rather laggy and froze sometimes, but looking past that it was a fantastic game!

(+1)

I agree with the lag. I would enjoy it a lot more with some optimization.

Developer

Just out of curiosity, what hardware/browser are you both running? I'd love to go through it to optimize and see what could be causing those lag issues.

It was working pretty great on my 5 year old macbook pro, though I admit that's not exactly a super weak system haha, until I got a ton of  units and things going on and then the sounds started wigging out, but I never experienced much lag. But it obviously is having some issues as you both mention.

Yeah! My laptop is old and I upgraded the parts I could, but the graphics card is not great. Running firefox browser. Here are the specs.

The game would lag when I placed a building. (I was talking to Technopath games (my brother) and he said it was the shaders compiling making it slow down). Hope this helps!

Really fun game, I love the animation of the knights jumping from hex to hex !! so cute ! I think i'm not very good at it though, my village got wiped out by the skeletons 😂

So much fun!

This is crazy good for 4 days.

Only when I was seconds from losing I noticed the "Upgrades" tab and realized there's a whole other system I haven't known about.

The game does feel pretty difficult, but that might just be me not getting the hang of it yet.

This is probably one of the higher level productions I will see today as I'm rating random games itch gives me.

cool idea! I love town builders

Very chill game to start, but progresses to more difficulty at just the right time. Very create. A lot of content for jam. Nice job!

Challenge ramps up quick, but, after a few plays, I think I get how to be successful. Well done.
