How does your game fit the theme?
It's rhythm game where you have to parry all upcoming attacks via a countdown timer (and attack back). All of the game works around ticks (chunks) of time.

damn, this is hard. but very good

It felt like the countdown was not synced to the music (not sure if it's intended or a tech issue) so it was hard for me to get in the rhythm, but the idea is fun, congrats :)

Very cool concept. I think with some balancing and a full art pass this could easily be a full release. Great job!

Awesome game! Very fun to play and very creative compared to the other submissions. I do think sometimes it's not exactly clear when I can actually attack so I can parry (i'm not sure what a "tick" is,  is it the BPM of the song divided by 60 seconds or is it just the game's update rate?). But still very fun mechanical game

Difficult but fun and fair, it's an interesting interpretation of the theme

Gameplay loop is quite enjoyable, a bit of strategy, bit of rhythm, nice!

Pixel art is not that bad actually, I wouldn't say that you suck at it, obeying some general pixel art rules would be beneficial, e.g keeping pixels the same size, avoiding fractional scaling (2x,3x,4x etc).  Be less harsh to yourself! Font is bad, it looks blurry and not on grid. Music choice is solid. Style doesn't carry over to UI, tiny pixel art here, before mentioned bad font there and much bigger pixel art on the sides + colors all over the place sheesh. I reccomend using one color pallet throughout the game.
