End life plan
DRM free build available. I intend to upload to as many platforms as possible. Soundtrack is free to download on the page as well as the soundtrack being royalty free for other devs to use the music for their projects. I may do something similar for sprites and sfx I made for this project.

Transparency note
No AI, but some premade code, sprites, music, & sfx used. Transparency notes provided in the game design document on the game's itch page.

Absolutely dig the art style and music. My question is - why did you ruin the experience by having limited ammo that slowly recharges? You were so close :(

Developer (1 edit)

For the upgrade shop of course! Spend your skill points to get increased stamina, less ammo cost, faster firing speed, ext! You can also charge up stamina by using your special ability on the ground.

I can understand that logically, but the difference between set expectations and then reality of having to wait so long was a quit moment for me. So I think you should ask more people about this.

The idea seems really interesting, but I ran into some performance issues. I think the game would be much better once those are fixed. 👏

The art style and the idea is cool, a bit laggy and a bit buggy but I believe it's normal for such a short period of time.
The game had some fun mechanics an nice audio design BGM and SFX wise. I wished to see ingame version of control schema translated in mouse and keyboard players.

The most generic bug I saw was the gravity force issue. Sometimes I was just floating and yeah, i liked it too :)

Well done mate.  It's a good entry.

Thank you for giving it a shot! I thought your entry TAUT was good too! Admittedly I ran into a couple of web build specific bugs right at the end of the jam. So I had to cut my losses to keep my game playable. The downloadable build runs a lot better. Thanks again for playing.

I really love the art style... the game lagged a bit at the beginning, but I managed to get on land... I wish it had mouse and keyboard controls too, the game looks really fun.

Thank you for playing! I had gamepad tunnel vision during this jam for sure. Mouse and keyboard controls are in the build I just ran out of time to make a graphic for them. Along with making a couple of silly mistakes like not rehiding the mouse when focused and forgeting to add WASD movement for the main menu navigation. That led people to thinking arrow keys was the way you're supposed to play on MnK.

I think the art style is cool, though the gameplay is a bit rough at least on my end. It seemed pretty buggy including stuff like the player's gravity freezing sometimes when a jump is combined with getting hit and the enemy attacks seemed to be able to go through the terrain. It seems a bit weird to me that enemies could attack the player while they were on different y levels while tmk the player can't. It would also be appreciated if it had better mouse and keyboard controls. Over all though it seems like a really cool idea and I would love to play it again if you plan to polish it up after the jam.

Thank you for playing! I'll keep working on it.

The first thing that drew me to the game was the unique graphic style. Awesome submission! :D

It’s very strange and inconvenient that you can only navigate the main menu using the arrow keys, yet you have to use the mouse for the settings.

Thanks for bringing this up. I just tested it again in the browser and was able to use the settings with gamepad & arrow keys just fine. I'll look into this and see if a button is losing focus somehow while on the menu and update the game accordingly.

Camera, movement, controls, sound, and gameplay are all wonderful. Obviously a good game made by a skilled maker.
