Cool! The calendar idea fits the theme really well. At the start of the game, a bat went berserk and somehow took off a huge chunk of my HP in a single hit :D Just add some animations and sound, and it’ll be a complete game! Keep it up.

I really like the concept and I think its a good use of the Kenney assets.

As someone else mentioned the main issue is the game feel isn't quite there, the axes are slow and the enemies too fast, which means combat is waiting to hit the enemy slowly.

Some polishing like audio and animations, plus a couple extra progressions features and there's definitely a game I'd play in here! Keep it up.

It's a bit difficult hitting the enemies at all when they first charge, I also feel like something is missing, there's just not that much to do unfortunately. Maybe I am missing something though, I felt like maybe upgrading my hero or getting a clearer explanation of what I am working towards would be nice.

Anyway, congratulations for finishing!

Thanks for giving it a try!

A lot is missing, definitely, hehe. The idea is to be difficult, next to impossible, to beat the boss on the first run, and on subsequent runs, you'll have more time to prepare.
This "prepare" option wasn't done at all, I had no time to implement even basic RPG stats, hehe, let alone abilities, different weapons, even enemies.

I see the bones you're going for! I fought to the boss and then died. I see the idea of going "backwards" from the boss, but I'm not sure I saw any kind of progression. I think some progression would go a long way.

For the controls, I think the enemies either jump at you too fast, or your axes are too slow. There's some impedance there.

All in all, good bones and congrats on finishing!

Yeah, sadly I wasn't able to finish any way to upgrade your character, neither give a thought about the balance of movements, hehe.
