Awesome, welcome to the platform creator gang. This is just the beginning and there are more games to create :))
Feel free to check our platformer aswell of you want to do some tight jumps
Good Job on making your first game! The text in the browser version is blurred for some reason, but I'm sure you can fix that. After releasing it game it is also important to fix any bugs people encounter. Good luck on your next game!
Cool first game, got the old mario game feel! Bit of a shame for the text was blurred out though
Nice job finishing your first game! My first real game was in a game jam too and it felt so great that it encouraged me to keep learning to make even cooler games. I hope you do another game jam and shoot even higher next time!
Few things I'd recommend for future reference:
The player sprite jitters a bit when moving, this is an easy fix by setting the process callback of your player character's camera to physics instead of idle.
The player movement felt a bit stiff, some coyotetime and a jump buffer would help some, but mostly, being able to short jump by quickly pressing jump would make some of the platforming feel cleaner.
Overall though, nice work on your first game, congrats!
Well done on making your first game! I recognize the assets from a Brackeys tutorial :)
Congrats for your first Game! Itˋs Nice to see people join this world. Continue working (I loved they idea of making different biomes/worlds in the scene)!
Always love seeing a classic Brackeys tutorial platformer in a jam. Great work on your first jam game, keep it up!
Good job on your first game!! Even with a tutorial, publishing a game for a game jam is a great achievement :) I hope you enjoyed the experience and continue making more games in the future!
Cute artwork and audio, and the platforming felt very crisp!
This is how you get to learn, by creating something :D and congratulation on your first game and jam!
