How does your game fit the theme?
The whole game runs on a single countdown clock that is your health, your ammo, and your score. It never stops draining, and everything you do spends time, so kills are the only way to earn it back. The entire run is a literal count down to zero, and the arena itself is a ticking clock face.

Ridiculously clever concept, I love how it's balanced and I could easily imagine this game having a ridiculous skill ceiling. Great tutorial, excellent visual effects, I'm a bit unsure of how I feel about the auto-aim since it kind of takes away from the chaos and ability to pick your targets but it does also prevent you from wasting your time as often. My only other mild complaint is that movement feels just a bit sluggish, I felt like it took a long time to get to where I wanted to go, but I get that that's kind of necessary to keep the player under control. Excellent work!
very nice! i like the simple art style, super polished game overall
Great shooter!!!
I really like the overheat mechanic it really livens up the gameplay!
The bosses are cool. I especially liked the second one, where you have to dodge at just the right moment.
Fun game. Great conept.
Although a bit of an overdone kind of game, this has a little bit of something else. Super juicy and polished. Good job overall. Thank you for including arrow keys for control!
Love the gameplay, really fun and the bosses are super creative. Maybe a little tweak on the color palette and particles (it gets really busy when there's a lot of enemies, I'm just holding down SPACE and unga bunga).
Really cool. All the boss fights were very well done. All the animations also felt really great.
super fun game! love the concept!
It's a really fun, entertaining game—it's easy to get hooked on and want to keep playing. The concept is original and, above all, well executed, maintaining a good balance of difficulty. Congrats!!
SO fun! Thank you for adding controller support, it was an absolute blast! Super addicting gameplay, my favorite take on the "timer is everything" mechanic so far. So much content is amazing!
It's a good game, I enjoyed playing!
I really liked clock in the background ticking down. Gameplay was really solid too! Great work!
Feels good! I like the idea of combining various resources into a countdown timer. The boss design is interesting, but it feels somewhat lacking in threat. Perhaps more bullet patterns could be added?
I tried to steer away from a bullet hell or things that took focus away from solely the time management systems. Certainly more threats would be harder, but I tried to focus on the decision of where to move, when/what to shoot, when to dash, and when to prioritize picking up more time. Thanks for the feedback!
Super game! Very polished and simple artwork that suits the style perfectly. I think the game maybe could do with upping the difficulty as you went on further. I got to 2.6 million points and gave up as I felt I'd seen enough. Maybe adding two bosses in at once would be interesting?
Yeah it actually does increase the bosses health as you fight them again, but clearly it could do with a steeper curve. Thanks for playing!
Nice
Really fun game and cool concept! Very polished, I like the game feel and enemy variety :D
My only suggestions would be to change the enemy death animation to be a bit less distracting (it sometimes can make it harder to see other enemies and bullets) and maybe map one of the controls (dash or shoot) to the mouse to make it easier to play.
Both good suggestions, thanks for playing!
This was a BLAST!! Super on theme and that didnt hold back on how fun it would be! The sound effects and particles made it super punchy. The bosses felt unique and challenging! I got a score of 76,896!
Maybe to add to this game it could have upgrades to chose from that increase damage rate of fire or weapon types but the powerups fill in that role so maybe its not needed!
Great job! Keep it up :D
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :) I actually had multiple weapon types and scrapped it so you can focus on the time management aspect of the game. The combat is definitely pretty one dimensional though. I had abilities drafted as a concept, but again for the sake of the jam I kept it simpler. I didnt want the identity of the game to be just another top down shooter or roguelike with a timer. In the future though without the jam theme to consider I think some timed based abilities could be fun to experiment with.
it was really fun, thank you
Nice feeling game
The effects are really well done, and the sound is great too. I do have some issues with the controls, though; dashing feels rather awkward—it probably would have been better to map it to the mouse. Also, the creeps don't really feel like obstacles; you can just hold down the spacebar and move wherever you want. The bosses are quite varied, and I enjoyed fighting them. Good luck!
Thanks for playing! I agree that the dash input on shift feels a little awkward. Mouse might've been the right play. The enemies are definintely pretty easy and you can approach them all basically the same. Glad you enjoyed the bosses! Great feedback, thanks!
