I really like the concept, and it's fun to take down and avoid enemies as the jumps go on, but there really isn't much stopping me from just rushing the FTL and getting out of each area in under 10 seconds. I feel like all this game really needs is some scaling on the FTL time, and possibly some risk reward for choosing to stick around and survive an in an area for longer as the enemies pile up.
The charge-and-run tension loop is great, especially when you have to find a tiny safe moment to hold the charge. I liked how the upgrades push you to take risks
I like the idea, but way too easy. I made it up to jump 80 and my game started lagging too much.
Well done on Extrasolar! Nice work getting a playable entry together for the jam. I liked the core idea and the way it fits the jam theme.
I like that the shooting spread upgrade makes it desirable to get very close to enemies to deal damage. OP upgrade stacking isn't as much of a problem in this game as it is in others since they get turned off while charging.
Edit: In that regard, the hull upgrade is the most over powered, since when at a high enough level you literally cannot die just holding space. If the excess hull beyond the initial amount was temporary it could resolve this, albeit with the caveat of making it even harder for less skilled players.
Incredibly fun!
This has an incredible tension loop! I loved racing around trying to find where I could hide for a barely a second to charge up.
Interesting take on usual vampire survivors-like. I like it!
