I tried it and I liked the idea and interpretation of the theme!
Though I didn't complete the goal because the gameplay started feeling pretty monotonous...
I did enjoy the music (but it stopped playing after a few minutes) and can definitely see this as a similar game as the one where you have to restock a library, feels very cozy c: !
It's main inspiration was Librarian and "Leaf it alone", which you might also like.
On the gameplay side, yes, it misses "juice" to make the gameplay more dynamic and enjoyable on the long run. But we lacked time :D

I got this error when trying to launch the game:
Unable to find the .NET assemblies directory.
Make sure the 'C:/Users/%USERNAME%/Downloads/leaf_it_alive/data_gmtk2026_windows_x86_64' directory exists and contains the .NET assemblies.
Maybe you need to bundle the data folder along with the zip :) Look forward to trying the game!

Sadly when I tried to launch this, it threw an error about missing .NET assemblies :c So I can't rate it
