Super creative on the theme. I like the parallax and the character designs.

I wish the movement was less floaty, as in I'd prefer higher acceleration on the player movement. Would make me feel more in control as the player, like I'm fighting the level and not the controls. The platforms can move faster to balance out the difficulty.

I wish you could maneuver up and down on the screen as well.

Good job on your first game jam entry! Keep adding features to it.

Wow, Great feedback, thank you! glad you like the character design, that means a lot, it was my first time designing characters from scratch and I feel like I did much better then I expected.

A very "out of the box" interpretation of the theme "count down". Really goofy which I like, the gameplay could use somw work. Good work!

A few ideas I had while playing:
1. Use light: using suble light coming from torches and stuff against a black background would really sell the darkness
2. Add an enemy character who throws bombs which you can either dodge or parry. Parrying them would break 3 floor beneath you. This  could add risk and reward.

Congrats on finishing the game :)
