How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a walking alarm clock whose core resource constantly ticks down. Player needs to manually wind spring mechanism to maintain speed and jump power. The level structure is a countdown of sorts in itself.

Nice controls I would add a blob shadow directly underneath the player to gauge where you would land its essential for 3d platformers I think you should continue working on this it has potential

Developer (1 edit)

I considered blob shadow but it kinda conflicted with the lighting setup I have in the scene. I should probably research how this problem is solved in other 3d platformers. Thank you for playing!

It's like only up... but it counts DOWN

Developer

Hmm, maybe I should've made a vertical descent game. The initial idea was massive number slabs falling down which you need to traverse on, but It turned out to be more difficult to implement than I thought. So I panicked and cut the scope. Thank you for playing!

Iä, Iä, Clock fhtagn I guess? Really cool game!

Developer(+1)

Oh, this might be a bit of a spoiler for those who haven't completed the game. I didn’t plan to make it that ominous (different color grading makes things look darker, I guess), but people are free to interpret. Thank you for playing it to the end!

I've tried to take a screenshot that doesn't reveal too much.
But if you want I can take it down?

Developer(+1)

Let it be. It adds some intrigue and motivates other people to get to the end from the other hand.

Really enjoyable, played till the end! I love the art style you accomplished with such limited time. I'm sure with more time you would have gotten to tune the jump more; maybe something more weighty. Only real trouble I had with the game is the camera. I would end up inside walls some times and around certain tight spaces I would have to make blind movements and hope I did read the space right. Did you use a SpringArm node?

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, a bare bones SpringArm node camera rig and very simple jump implementation. The technical aspect needs a lot of polish. I’ve spent most of the time making assets and neglected other stuff. Thank you for playing and giving feedback!

This game was hard but one of the most underrated best games of the jam yet

Developer (1 edit)

That's a high praise. Thank you for playing! It seems you are the first person who've completed the game.
