I felt the art was super polished! the style felt very nice!
I enjoyed this game a lot! It's a creative take on the theme, and finding the secrets felt very rewarding. If you add more to it, I feel like it could have a lot of potential.
I'm glad you had fun! Secrets are literally my favorite part of any game, so I wanted to make sure to add a few to keep things fresh and re-playable! I am tempted to continue the game, one of the concepts I've been playing with is adding some type of dash ability, or maybe a double jump, and using said abilities would also cost units from the counter. The player would have to choose to use the abilities at a cost, and I feel like this could lead to really interesting interactions and level designs.
Great game! I really liked it and the art style too
Good take on the theme
(also this didn't harm the rating but the game didn't fit on my screen at first I had to go into dev tools and play it on a simulated mobile device and zoom out to see whole screen, but nonetheless great game good job!)
Sorry to hear you had an issue with the sizing, but thank you for the kind words regardless, I really appreciate it!
Really well made and suuuper cool concept and visuals. I just wish there was some kind of ambiance. That doesn't detract from it though! I loved it!
Thanks for the compliments! There was supposed to be some background music, but I couldn't figure out why it wasn't playing before time ran out. :'(
Beautiful game 10/10 amazing
Glad you enjoyed my little game! 🤍
I love the secret areas! This game is really polished.
I do wish there were more levels and arrow keys were usable.
Thanks for the compliment! I wanted to make more levels but I ran out of time, but I will add customizable controls eventually!
Really clever use of the countdown theme, controls and puzzles are enjoyable. I really had fun
Glad you had fun with my little game!
Would have been nice to have arrow keys as secondary controls. Left Shift and WASD put quite a strain on the left hand. Spikes sometimes seemed to mix with overall surroundings too much, causing quite a few frustrating deaths
The gameplay on the other hand, was an enjoyable experience, particularly the "fighting" section towards the end, where you have to use your ability in a more active, rather than puzzle-style way
I'm not a huge fan of puzzle sections where I have to think ahead and calculate how many "counts" I will need to pass the level. It feels like puzzle sections get too much in the way of what is actually fun about the game, which is platforming, fighting and the intrigue of following the white ghost, or whatever that was
Thanks for the input, customizable controls are definitely on the agenda.
Glad you had fun in the last level, I had a lot more ideas for cool ways to utilize the counter but sadly I ran out of time and couldn't implement them.
Also, the ghost is actually a girl!
Wow, this was done by a solo dev? The graphics are really nice, the games is polished. Fantastic concept, having this countdown as a currency for various things.
Maybe to mention some negatives:
I got through everything and spend the most time dying on level 4. Thanks for the game!
Thank you for the praise, but I can't take all the credit for the tiles, as the tile sprites were made by Hyell. Everything else was made by me though!
Custom controls will get here one day for sure, I plan on developing this game further, as I really like the direction it's heading.
