How does your game fit the theme?
Every resource in Deadweight only ever counts down. The level timer ticks toward zero with a hard cutoff. Health only depletes; there's no healing. Ammo only depletes; there's no reload or pickup. Even the cash you loot counts against you: every stack adds weight, and weight only ever goes up, quietly counting down your speed and your odds of dodging the next shot. Difficulty tunes three of these countdowns at once (guard fire rate, starting time, ammo margin). The player's real decision each run is which countdown to spend faster: do you burn ammo fighting a guard, burn time avoiding one, or burn your own safety margin carrying one more stack of cash to the door.

Nice game! I like the artstyle and the concept.

Very creative game based on an interesting concept. It was really fun to try time my escape so I got the maximum money and left with 0 time. The shooting was fun but I kinda wish you didn't get slowed down on high money because the movement was very satisfying at the start. The siren sound was really effective at building my imersion and I am excited to play parts 2 and 3. Well done.

In hindsight I think the ratio of weight to movement is little too aggressive, I've since lowered by 25% and it works better, but unfortunately can't update the current release.

Nice concept

nicely linked to the jam's themes, and the forked gunfire pattern was pretty creative. Implementing the AI to chase you down must've been tricky; I think leaning into a wider variety of gunfire patterns would've helped find more fun. Good job!

I like the concept of the weight of each item contributing to your speed a bunch. The only thing I'd add is a clearer indicator of your health, I felt like I couldn't even see my healthbar.

I am terrified but works just fine ! congrats

pretty cool game. it’s simple but effective in gameplay, and the guard spotting system is cool. my only real gripe is with the audio. that bell sound repeating gets really grating after a few seconds
