I have the original code and exported html, so if the death of Itch.io leaves people craving EGGSAC! Deluxe, then I can embed it into a new website.
Transparency note
No part of this was made before the jam, but it took mild inspiration from another game of mine, "EGGSAC!". None of the code, sfx, or assets were reused, and the deluxe version has different mechanics.

This was surprisingly fun! I enjoyed the grid-based movement, the how to play, though the sound effects were a bit excessive. The game ran very well, and I think its rapid difficulty progression is actually a very good fit for a game jam. congrats!
Honest heads up: I couldn't get past the title screen, so this is a rating of what I could see rather than of the game.
The cover is great, that 90s CD-ROM shovelware look with the gold egg, the spider on top, EGGSAC! in red and blue neon with DELUXE! underneath and claw marks behind it. Very funny. The blue gradient background with the bubbles rising has a smooth, pleasant animation. And saying openly on the page that you rebuilt the game from scratch during the jam instead of reusing the old two hour project is a good bit of transparency.
The screen says "Click to start!" and I clicked everywhere, on the text, the centre, the egg, plus Space and Enter. It never started. It might be something specific to my browser, but it's worth testing on another machine, because if it happens to other voters you lose votes without anyone getting to play. Happy to come back and give it a proper go if you find the cause.
Oh no! I'm not sure what that is, I did test it on my alternate pc and it worked fine, I've never had that issue before. What browser are you using? It works fine on both Edge and chrome for me.
The sounds really were the highlight of EGGSAC! Deluxe for me, the musical intro was charming!
Only managed to get a high score of 100 😅 difficult but enjoyable :)
Great stuff. Really made me want to go as far as I could, but on level 2 I realised that diagonal inputs works kinda weird for me. But still a very nice game.
A fun entry .. very well implemented from the crisp colourful graphics to the playful sound effects and music ... key mapping options would be great as arrow keys feel uncomfortable for me .. but not a gamebreaker . great job
