it's awesome to see how similar my game is to yours in terms of counting down to zero! really had fun playing it!

Cool take on Balatro's card and shop mechanics!

Though I feel that some of the card effects are a bit over-the-top, which makes the game pretty hard to calculate. (like some cards that decreases the value of my cards, though it might be my misplay to buy them.)

Another advice is that if there are 2 or more center numbers to solve and the player may choose which one to solve first, the fights might be cooler and more complex!

Developer

Thanks for your kind feedback and advice.
Yes, I thought about having more than one center number too.
But we don't have enough time to implement that for this jam :)

Fun game, I have played so many rounds. I would suggest that you could make the RNG less random. Sometimes it feels like the RNG is stacked against me, and all the cards I get are just impossible to play with. Must mention, I quite liked the enchantment mechanic, gave it an interesting dimension. Also, was the counting down, inspired by Blackjack perchance?

Developer

Thankyou for playing it that many times. Thankyou too for your kind feedback, but it wasn't inspired by Blackjack.

Love the idea of a Balatro-style game for this jam! I feel like some of the upgrades hindered me more than helped, but still very cool :)

Thankyou for your feedback.

Pretty fun card based concept, some shop cards definitely made it feel harder to calculate some moves, but the core gameplay loop works well. Especially liked how you have to count up when you get into the negatives

got me sometime to get the hang of it but got it at last ,the shop introduced variation which was good and it was engaging and rewarding when reaching 0 , and great audion and music choice , GG

Thought the concept sounded simple at first, but it ended up being quite fun! I also see the Balatro inspiration lol
