Aside from always losing money, the concept is great and the execution is well done. It's a fantastic use of theme. I'm sure you figured this out by now, but the bug is that all of the paid price for the item is subtracted, but only the "profit" portion of the transaction gets added back instead of the full sell price.

Love the dwarf theme in this! The auctioning itself feels like it could be interesting, but not having any real recourse other than guessing to figure out when to buy hampers it a bit, I think.

I also would have liked to have seen prices change in the market over time, so you're always needing to check to see how things are looking. It feels like this gameplay could pair well with some kind of trading metagame, where you sell your goods to market. I.e. you buy out the stuff at auction when the prices are low, and then manage storage space to sell things when prices are high, etc.

Also, sad that the profit got broken with that bug. I also seemingly randomly lost at some point, but I'm not sure why. Perhaps also related to the bug?

Very cool atmosphere and interesting idea! Admittedly, felt a bit lost. I would sometimes record a loss when I'm sure I should have made a profit. The number on the clock also confused me a bit, like trying to figure out the prices between the main ones marked out made my brain melt a bit, haha.

Would also be cool to see somewhere on the UI how much the entry fee for a round is (not just the quick pop at start of round), so you can kind of keep track of what you need to cover beyond the item's profit margin.

And think it feels a bit like a guessing game / gambling game, would be nice to have some like info or something to see how the much the AI wants the given product. But did read through your Dev Log and sounded like that was the eventual idea.

I can definitely see what you were going for here, and really dig it! I think with a bit more fleshing out and seeing what other mechanics could be introduced to keep things interesting, this could end up with an addictive loop!

I felt really cozy and ready to get settled into this bidding war, which is great start! Think I would have mainly liked a bit more strategy required :)

Interesting idea. Took me a while to figure out how profit works before I made any money, but the cozy atmosphere and simple control scheme kept me playing way longer than I wanna admit. Nice job!

Thanks for the kind words, but there is a bug I don't think the profit is applying as it should :(

I loved the Low Poly art style! The game is really cool (though a little hard to figure out at first).

The game is relaxing, but maybe one suggestion would be to reduce the number of buttons and always display the most important information on the screen.

Thanks, that's a great tip in general, apprciate it

The portrait selector was a fun touch. It would be nice if pressing Select took you back to the menu.

The tutorial was clear and easy to follow. I did get a little confused at first because I clicked New Game, then realised I still had to press Start/Resume.

Nice assets and a cool concept. I enjoyed it.
