this is a pretty interesting and unique idea! it's almost like a slightly more interactive Cookie Clicker.
The biggest problem is that it seems like you run out of things to do very quickly. There only seems to be three clocks to buy which aren't that different from each other, and once you've filled every tile there's no more game except watching your money go up. I'm guessing you were planning on having more clock types, judging by the reroll in the shop? Maybe you should also be able to sell or get rid of clocks to make room for new ones if so?
Also, I absolutely LOVE how one of them looks like a Game & Watch and I wish the others also looked like that!
I like the base idea but as other have also already mentioned modifiers based on placement would be interestings aswell as maybe more stuff to buy with the money you earn since in about a minute i already had enough to buy whatever i wanted. But otherwise it's a fun game!
Very clever idea! Would be interested to see clocks with modifiers based on placement or chaining mechanics.
Funny thing is I thought about exactly the same idea when the theme was revealed but didn't go for it. But anyway that's a really nice game, it's polished and it feels like you could expand on it easily so good job !
Yo, this is awesome! Great job keeping it simple while leaving room for added complexity and player decisions.
Combining the two mechanics of placing clocks on the grid, and counting them down to try and hit close to 0 is brilliant and very unique. One of my favourites of the jam so far, and that says a lot since reaction-time based games are usually not my thing. The different clock designs are also creative and well designed.
5/5 gameplay and presentation. Saving this one for future replays.
Simple, but fun! The art style is really aesthetically pleasing, and the start button is such a fun little detail. Plus, the cats are cute, so you know it's a banger
