The moment I saw "Alternate between left and right" I felt joy as it reminded me of some of the good old games I used to play as kid. It was surprisingly fun but it could use some extra features like a way to gain more time. Good job! ( My best record was 440m btw)
Glad you liked it, and well done on the distance. I'm going to be expanding on it after the game jam finishes. Speed boost seems a good idea
I want to add a leader board as well, see how competitive people really get

Simple, but surprisingly enjoyable once you get into the rhythm (and understand how the forward movement works, I was floundering helplessly for the first two attempts). I found that rapidly alternating between the A and D keys with both of my index fingers and using my right thumb for the space bar makes for a pretty good sustaining run. The "bounciness" of the shadow moles (the enemies) makes them infuriating but in a very good way, since it encourages the player to avoid making a single mistake otherwise their rhythm will be permanently off-balance for the remainder of the run.
Overall very reminiscent of mobile games like Flappy Bird and Stick Ninja. I could even be expanded further to have elevated surfaces and ramps, potentially allowing for airtime combos.
Cheers for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I am planning on developing it further, with things like you mentioned, I just ran out of time to add them before the deadline.
Fun game, was cool to see how fast I could get up to!
Nice game. Well done!
Very cute game! It was fun to build up a lot of speed!
