ohhi love this game!, its so cozy, love the artstyle
i kinda hope theres an instruction or make the $help more verbose because it took me a while to understand what to do with the 'launch' command X3
great concept overal!
crazy you fella goes with this in like 10 days haha
The tasks gets repetitive especially the morse one (probably cause I didn't know any of that and that it's the third game I play with morse in this jam lmao), but wow all the rest is so nice and like, exceptionally working haha. I had a fun and really cool time on this one, art and audio is incredible too, really impressive work for 10 days congrats!
We did have plans for many different tasks but the 10 just flew past before we could add everything we had planned. Thanks so much for playing <3
Literally Protogen Hospital! We were playing with friends, and sometimes certain objects would get stuck in the textures . But that's to be expected for a game developed in such a short time. I think it would be helpful to have a tutorial before before treating protogens.
This is an amazing entry for the Jam!
OK finally got to play it proper. I like most all the mechanics involved in repairing protogens - except for the morse code but mostly cos I'm really bad at morse code. I still liked having to jack em into the system and I think this was good puzzle even if it's not my fave.
I did however get stuck at some point. I launched a program and it was stuck on:
Waiting for user input [Max ammo] 0%
At that point typing would result in sounds...but nothing on screen. I looked all over my patient and the level trying to see if there was some thing else I should interact with.
I will say as well the hospital was waaay too big. I got lost in the samey corridors a couple of times. But yeah I'm glad this one exists even if it's not my fave. The idea is super cute and it's really well executed. There's an impressive amount of systems and it works together well.
If in any case you plan to play it again, I also thought I was stuck on the 0% program haha but we actually have to TYPE the message that the program shows on the computer to make it work.
Hmm but it wouldnt let me type anything. It makes keyboard sounds, but no characters appear regardless of what I type.
No characters are typed, it's the characters in the sentence shown that get cleared gradually when you type
Oh rad that's cool! I like it now that I know what it is. Never would've guessed that on my own though.
Yeah I took time to figure it out too haha.
Interesting game loop. I'd be interested to know how you guys pulled this off! How much of this was made during the game jam, vs how much this were assets and such. Regardless, the game looks great and dang, you achieved a heck of a lot in the time. There's so many protogens all wanting a checkup! Is it completable or does the room keep filling up with friends? It's a solid game with a very well defined game loop!
All assets except the foliage outside were made during the jam! I had a blast making the environment kit for the clinic as well as all the protogen variants, so I'm glad it's makes an impression on you. It's the best compliment! The game is in "endless mode" so to speak so there is no full completion, just a proof of concept. Thank you for playing!
Dang, that's extremely impressive then. Good job!
I'm keen for this game but I don't know how to get started. The map is a bit confusing, but I found a room that I looks like I can work on protogens...but how do I get them? I don't seem to be able to talk to any in the waiting room.
There is a red button in the reception to call in a protogen. We know that the biggest thing missing from this game is a proper interactive tutorial. Hope you give it another go!
I def will!
The slight tilt when moving was a bit uncomfortable, especially in fullscreen, that aside the game was fun!
Though I swear I was getting the morse code correct, I quadruple checked it, and re-entered multiple times, but it just kept failing.. maybe I had to do the two I had in a specific order? I hadn't discovered additional aux ports before this, but there was no indicator as to which one I had to solve first.
Thank you so much for trying the game, and for reminding us to make the movement tilt a setting in the future! Not sure what went wrong with the morse code but to try and help: you first find an AUX port, connect the morse decoder up, then decode the word, and type that word into the console using the decode command. So if you got the word "ram", you would input "decode ram". Thank you again for your feedback!
Saw the thumbnail/title and was instantly hooked. It’s fun to learn how to take care of the protogens! I appreciate having a tutorial that is not super hand-holdy. Very funny and very fun. Great job!
I made a customer run away without his head attached IN LIVE STREAM and it was hilarious ahaha.
Me and my community loved it and I really would love to see a complete game like this in the future, it was really funny and I've learnt a little bit of morse code.
I would recommend to add a deeper tutorial for tech-noobs like me, but after some minutes of trials and errors it was really funny
I loved this so much PLEASE MAKE MORE!
I killed two people. qwq
This game changed my life
THIS IS AWESOME!!! Genuinely such a well put together game, I love the gameplay loop so much..
The only issue I ran into is that if a protogen had more than one MORSE CODE errors, it would reuse the same morse code audio as the first, and I could never decode the second.
Other than that, this has a LOT of potential!! If you ever need custom audio, id be glad to help :3
Thanks so much for playing!
For the morse code errors, each error will have its own AUX somewhere on the protogen. Not sure if that was your issue, hope it helps!
