The game has a really interesting concept and a strong foundation. I like the idea of the mystery and investigation elements.

The theme really reminds me of Spy Party. I like how you have to find some sort of intel to identify the spy.

Some things I'm having difficulty is seeing what color is which and who exactly is the guardian. Maybe the guardian should have a slightly different design from the rest of the guests? Another thing is that I didn't quite feel the time pressure of a spy trying to hunt me down. Also I think it'd be pretty neat if the intel required some kind of task in order to accomplish rather than you just walking over to a spot and picking it up.

Pretty unfortunate you have the NPC kill bug, but great baseline for a game!

The concept and atmosphere are great. The how to play and settings are appreciated. It's a very creative take on the theme, though I've never seen the spy kill their target. Maybe the theme would be more obvious if there was simply a visible time limit? I tried many times, but I wasn't able to get a single successful kill. It would be nice if it was more clear why I failed. I know you're not supposed to kill around the guardians, but how close is too close? Do they need a line of sight? Can they see you even when their backs are turned? Also, the colors are sometimes difficult to distinguish because of the lighting. Even though I wasn't able to win, I like the idea and the story aspect of it. Nice work!

Thanks for the reply. Right now, it’s impossible to complete the game because of a bug: whenever you kill any NPC, the game records a loss for you. Unfortunately, I only discovered this when there was very little time left to submit the projects, so I didn’t have time to upload a version that fixes this bug.

I wanted to implement more mechanics so the player could better understand what’s happening, but I spent all my time writing this system and fixing it.

After the game jam, I’ll release a more polished version that should fix these issues.

It's a nice little game.

Unfortunately the colors on the characters look almost identical to me since I have slight color blindness. Luckily this can easily be solved by just giving them some simple patterns.

I also think the game could work great with a larger map where more guards and more innocent people are present. Then you would have to search more for your target.

Thank you for playing my game.

There’s currently a bug in the game: killing any NPC counts as a failure, including when killing a spy.Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to add any other distinguishing features besides the color itself.

An updated version will be released after the game jam.
