That's not what happened — the concept is awesome and the gameplay loop is quite fun. Though that'd be fun to see more information about spells and the reasons for loss. VA is awesome.
Don't be scared by download only! Super fun and original concept! I loved this!
The Game is so fun and have a lot of potentials, The Voice acting is 10/10 I love the concept so much!
Thank you! We will probably keep working on it
This game is so good. A very inventive gameplay where you have to "recount" the event haha.

Fantastic game. Maybe you should add that fantasy music from the little green wizard meme, that would make it even better. The story is very funny too.
Great job and take this.
Thank you, you have to love fireball
This was really creative! We do love a little ludonarrative harmony, and the forgetful wizard angle is a great way of ensuring it. There were a few levels that could be completed without having to use all skills, in fact I don't think I ever actually had to use the Time Ability and I actually don't understand what it's supposed to do.
The levels that actually make you think are great though, and having to retry is never boring because you get to hear and read all the variations on the incantations. Tracer's ability, the Apple Girlington shout, and the unexpected deep voice for Lipsum are great. Big fan of the voiceover work in general! Super funny. The final level being hyped up as being super long and hard just to basically be a fart in the wind is great punchline.
The main thing I feel doesn't work that well is the fact that there are two different aiming systems. I see no reason to not aim with the mouse when not firing a spell, it makes Shadow Clone unnecessarily annoying to place.
In a reply below, you mentioned going back and polishing the level design by adding more time (if I read it correctly). I don't think more time is needed, some of the later levels have too much time (partly because Dash is more effective at killing enemies than Lipsum).
All in all though, this was a fun game! I hope you keep polishing it, pop out a WebGL build and you have a fun, light flash game thing.
"More time" i mean we needed more time to make improvement to the game, ya know, Game jam and all. But yes, the aim should be just mouse. So much easier!
Ah that makes sense! That's what I assumed at first
The voice acting is indeed funny, and the graphics is well done.
My gripes are mostly mentioned in the other comments. The thing I’d like to add is that I would like some explanation of what the spells do. Some are easy to understand (fireball, dash, the Japanese one), some I still don’t get (such as the Tracer’s ability, I’ve never played Overwatch so I have no idea).
I’d also suggest adding the movement/aim tips to the game page as a last resort, because I had to look for them in the comments.
As a minor complaint, in my personal opinion the music didn’t really match the wizard casting spells vibe. It felt more shooter-y or speed platformer-y.
The narrative is quite smart, really holds the concept together though. Good job on that!
This is a great concept. The voice acting is quite funny, and it is satisfying when your solution works. However, on the whole, the game didn't feel that smooth to play. It took a bit to figure out how to aim the spells, then occasionally a fireball would hit the corner of a wall and instantly explode me instead of the enemies. Also, the fact that the game doesn't save your previous timeline when you die can be annoying when you know the solution was set up right and the only issue was your movement/aiming. There were also a couple of times when it seemed like I beat a level when I in fact had not, and others where it looked like I lost but when I went to the menu, the next level was unlocked. It would be nice to have more visual feedback as to whether you won or lost. I think with some bug fixes and a tutorial this could work quite well!
Thank you for playing! I can not say anything but that i 100% Agree with you
This is such an amazing idea ! also the whole narrative about "thats not what happened" is such a novel idea. Loved it . especially with the beautiful art and "Fire baaallll" amazing puzzles . Can see this as a full on proper game id buy . Solid game
That's a cool idea! I really enjoyed it. The game is so polished, the voice-over, art, and level design are all amazing. It has a lot of potential. Great job!
wowie what a fantastic idea! The voice actor is amazing! Really fun mechanic to make restarting part of the game
I like the idea for this gameplay! Definitely could do more with it after the game jam and make it a full game! Nice visual also!
We were thinking about it! Feels like with a bit more content, polish, and level design (More time), it could become something!
I like the idea, but maybe it's me, but I can't understand the aim in this game : it's kinda linked to the mouse and the movement, but not totally, and I think i understood it was different on each level. With that, I couldn't go beyond lvl 3... Aside of that, the art was cute, and the audio is legendary !
The aim is a bit weird, when walking its aim is in the direction you walk, when casting spells, you aim with your mouse.
Thank you for playing! If you give it another try, later levels you get to to use more spells and see more of the audio!
Level 3 you need to quickly kill the enemies walking towards you, then reposition to kill the ones talking in the garden
Fun voice acting! The concept was also quite creative :) -B
An absolute hidden jam.. “No that’s worng… what i meant to say wasss….” An absolute hidden gem!! I loved the game and your idea! such a creative entry! and ofcorce the commentary was the best part :)
Love this! Amazing work :D
Love this! Very creative and fun. Great job, Love the old demented wizard commentary xD
Love the game. It's very creative and fun to play.
I liked this game and it was very creative! I have some feedback that I would like to go over. The audio was all over the place, it was a little quiet and the voice was a little harsh, but the music was good. I don't like how the controls, specifically aiming, changes based on if you're casting a spell (it follows the mouse) vs not casting a spell (it follows player movement). I think if it just always followed the mouse it would be more intuitive and better. I really liked the environments, artwork, and level design and how those all tied into the timing of when you cast spells.
Thank you! There where a lot of issues with the aiming and i do agree that it should have been more clear. Glad you enjoyed it!
