Cool game! I think I've heard about these mechanics in a Sam Hogan video, but without the cure, which is a nice twist, and ends up leaving good possibilities for levels. The interface showing which ones will die and where they will contaminate is awesome, made the experience so much better. Also, that's a lot of levels! I spent from 5pm to 10am making levels and still only got to make 20. One small critique, the volume on the contaminants' death sound is way too high when many die at the same time, and since you're using Godot as well I'm just gonna give easy instructions for it: next time you could channel the SFX through an audio bus and put a hard limiter effect on it. That makes it so the volume won't exceed the DB volume you set on it no matter how many sounds play at the same time. Still, really good game and really enjoyable. Congratulations!
The amount of levels is so impressive! Congrats! I really like the level design, and the mechanics. I feel like you could easy the user a bit more into the mechanics, I still got confused after several levels about how all of them interact. But could just be that I'm a dummy for puzzle games. Anyway, congrats on an amazing entry
Very nice and I like how clean the animations are :)
Really cool idea to make a puzzle about breaking conway's game of life to avoid a disease outbreak!
Nice approach for the theme, also you did well on the tutorial part! Also, 4 days but 20+ levels and bonus level?! That's insane for a first timer, especially you need to design all these levels.
Cool puzzle game with some neat mechanics
At first, I didn't understand the instructions. However, the simple and clear interface design and the feedback made it very easy to use. very interesting!
Really cool game of life like puzzler! A bit complicated for my brain, but I still had fun placing things randomly and praying! It also took me a second to realize you could place them inside of the microbes, but I think you did explain that in the tutorial so thats just me being dumb. Congrats!
It's great that you've added a save system and so many stages in such a short time.
Cool, creative puzzle game! I feel like you could add more virus types? (I only got 6 levels in though so maybe I just didn't reach those)
Thanks for trying out! There is indeed another virus strain (the "ally") starting from level 25. Apparently I am still not very good at level design but my original plan was to introduce different mechanics and interactions slowly.
nice game, didnt know you can make an actual game out of conway's game of life. I kinda struggled at level 7 (I am bad at it)
Thanks for the encouraging comment and constructive feedback! This is the first time I join a Game Jam and I do find a streamlined level design to be challenging, as a quick remedy in the Game Jam setting I also provide the "Hint" button to players.
What a great game! I was expecting to be overwhelmed by all the info at the start, but the game made a lot of sense as soon as I started playing it, and the UI design made everything really clear to understand. Great use of the theme, I liked that you approached it from two angles!
Thanks for the encouraging comments! This is the first time I join a Game Jam and I am still learning, glad you like it!
