Gonna repeat a criticism from a lot of the other comments, but if you miss, the game should basically end right there. I attempted to snipe a guy a long ways away, but I suppose it hadn't fully loaded in (or I'm a bad shot) and I missed. Couldn't figure out what to do from there other than restart manually.

Still, issues aside, for a two day project and a first attempt at 3D, this was a good go, and I hope you keep making games!

Developer

Yeah definitely the biggest problem with the game so far but thanks for playing!

The 3d models are very polished and the gun shot animation is pretty good. The quality is up there consider this is only a one-man-2-day project.

One only design choice I would change is that as long as the player miss one shot, the game should be over to emphasis the rule and theme of the game.

Overall it is a very solid entry! Well Done!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I never fully figured out how to handle someone missing a shot

Well done! It's obvious the game is a little unfinished but I know the problem of time constraints. I had fun, I tried multiple times. The game was pretty rewarding (the dead animation is fun) and pretty hard (it's not that easy to score all 12 kills).

Thanks a lot!

Developer

Glad you had fun despite its current state!

Finally beat it lol. I do really like the idea of making every shot high stakes (N targets, N bullets). But you'd probably need to think about what should happen then if they waste a bullet, do you restart, do you give some high skill way to earn your bullet back, etc. Because right now if you miss, you know your round is over but the game just kinda keeps going. Also the movement felt great, solid character controller. Congrats on your first game, was the same for me!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I tried out making you lose instantly when you miss, but that felt equally awkward tbh so I just left it the way it is to learn the movement and position of enemies before you try again, I never figured a smoother approach before the end of the time limit

For your first 3d game, its awesome! It really made me think of how usually in fps games dumping tons of bullets into enemies is the default and not actually making every bullet count. I have few notes though:

- I usually had no idea if my bullet actually hit an enemy unless i stuck around and made sure their death animation played. Adding even a single death or AGH! sfx, as well as blood particles to the enemies when shot dead would've made a real difference
- I know its your first 3d game, but adding a skybox and even a single tileable texture (there's many CC0 ones online) wouldve made the game standout more and look better.
- when the player gets hit, it isn't really obvious besides the knockback and having to monitor the HP count. Adding a hit sfx to the plater as well as red vignette flashing gives better indication
- the jumping personally felt a bit floaty, , but i suppose thats a stylistic choice because of the high platforms, which isn't really fundamentally bad
- adding a muzzle flash to the gun and even procedural recoil wouldve made gun's gamefeel better

Overall great job, and I'm looking forward to your next 3d games!

Developer

Thanks for your in depth feedback it's very helpful! There's definitely lots to improve especially visually, I just didn't have the time or know how, but I hope I do soon!

Good job! I would have preferred to add some wall textures, that would have been nice.

Developer(+1)

Yeah wall textures and a skybox would have definitely made it x10 better

Not bad not bad at all for a first 3d game but I dont really see a connection to theme overall a gj though God bless man and if you can check my submission out =)

Developer

Thanks mate, I planned on having a more obvious and pretty countdown for each kill come over the screen but i ran out of time!

Submitted(+1)

yeah lol time was tight

I love that there's huge knockback when you get shot, was honestly pretty fun to get shot while in the air and fly 100 feet away, cool music too!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! That and the over the top sprint speed were me cranking things up massively for testing and deciding I liked it that way!

For a 3D game to run on the web, and for it to be your first, this is excellent work!

Developer

Thanks so much!

Me after I fire 3 bullets into the first guy out of habit and then realise the conceit of the game:

That's a cool game for a first 3D project, wish you all the best in your journey!

Developer

Thanks so much, means a lot from someone involved in such an impressive project!

Every missed shot hurt with only 12 shells 😄 It made me slow down and aim much more carefully than usual. Nice idea!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I think a little too much of the difficulty comes from the janky shooting mechanics but glad you had fun
