Love it. It's cute, and it's an original take on a deckbuilder.

Art looks great! Also liked the quirky narrative / tone of voice. Great job!

Mini deckbuilder, sweet! Theming was nice. Mechanics are fun enough that I'm going to forgive the blatant Balatro reference (nothing against your game, I just really do not like Balatro, I'm weird, sorry). I wish there was a way to speed up the animations, but gameplay wise I'm pretty impressed by what you did in the short time, especially since I'm normally very critical of game jam deckbuilders. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Especially if you're not a balatro fan, I appreciate you trying it out :)

I liked the idea of a Balatro sheep game. I had an entertaining time. Sometimes when I selected 3 card it only played two of them. Also, when I hover on the last card I can't see the body points and the jump and send away buttons are above the first card. I guess it's an scale issue because my resolution is 16:10 and maybe this doesn't happen in 16:9 resolutions.

Developer

Good to hear you had fun! Definitely a scaling thing indeed, but due to me not properly setting it up, thanks for raising the issue!

This game is so fun and chill. I loved the artwork and I'm impressed by how polished your game feels.

Here's some feedback:

  • It was a bit confusing for what the points and the fur and body does so I think adding that into the tutorial would be nice
  • The tutorial at the start was too slow, especially the speed in which the text unfolded. I think allowing a button to speed the dialogue text up would do wonders

Keep it up! Such a cool game

Thank you so much! First time doing pixel art, so that's really nice to hear :)

Definitely understand your feedback, the tutorial was way too limited and slow. Thank you for the feedback!

Very cool card game! Obvious inspiration from balatro of course, but i like the mechanic of body and fur, as well as the breeding mechanic and action cards! I will say that the game speed could be tuned up a bit, since often i was left waiting for my effects to trigger. But the effects are also quite well chosen, with some deck fixing mechanics implemented, which helps in the long game. Also, the game seems to work best on 1080p, which meant i had to change my monitor settings in order for buttons to show up and work properly. Overall,  very good effort, and a fun experience! good job!

Thank you for the detailed feedback! Happy to hear you liked the "more unique" mechanics. Definitely understand the speed, and for the UI i kind of messed it up. Happy to hear you managed after changing the monitor. Thank you for playing!
