This game takes a lot of risk artistically and I think they all payed off. To use real images for the hand and food and make it work in any game is hard, you did it so well. The audio is a master class too. I love the music. Awesome game!

fellow hotpot gamejammer!

im a sucker for using real pictures in games (couldnt find copyright free ones for my game) and you nailed the sfx and getting the right bgm to make the game come together, so i score the audiovisual pretty high!

the gameloop was pretty simple and made me think of stuff that could be added if this was ever worked on more, i think having the ingredients have some effect when they're in the hotpot and not just as the final result would add more variety in gameplay (like certain ingredients shouldnt be nearby other ingredients)

otherwise i would like to see this game be expanded upon if ever, good job!

Really fun and cozy idea! Tossing ingredients into the pot was weirdly satisfying, and the cursor made me laugh. The game could use clearer cooked/burnt feedback and a smoother tutorial, though, and ingredients getting stuck in the pot made things difficult sometimes.

Fun idea and definitely has potential! found it pretty cathartic putting things in the pot and seeing the icons change, especially the hotdog octopus :D the cursor sent me, that is hilarious

I think making the ready/burnt indicators a bit clearer and maybe adding some juicy SFX when something is cooked/burnt and also collecting combos would make the game feel a lot more satisfying too!

This game definitely has potential!

This game looks like it has potential and some good ideas, but it just went over my head. I couldn't figure out how the ingredients worked together, though I got the timing and burning right. I wasn't quite sure how the broths and things on the top (sides?) worked either, but managed to stumble my way through. I encountered a bug where some ingredients remained in the pot and I couldn't get rid of them, which lowered the number of ingredients I could put in the next round (unless that was intentional, in which case a different filter or UI element would have worked nicely there.) Good use of the theme, though!

I feel there's a cool and fun game concept here to be had, especially once I understood the mechanics. The picture explaining the mechanics on the game's page is nice but I wish the game itself did a better onboarding process as while it's not a particularly complicated game, the various modifiers you grab inbetween "levels" can be fairly overwhelming. More than anything tho, the ingredients getting stuck in the pot is a bit gamebreaking and makes it hard to properly judge the gameplay as you might not get a chance to go deep enough. I enjoy the cozy aesthetics and it really gives me the vibes of one of those classic cooking/management games.
