impressively polished game!
its a little difficult to line up shots with the movement, it would help if it didnt reset your direction after you were moving diagonallly, because it makes firing orthogonally way more viable
one boss spawning immediately after the last when you take too long can feel sudden when youre playing for the first time
the charging mechanic along with dashing, evolving, and big shots are all very well balance (honestly i forget about time stop and beat all the difficulties without, wouldbe been useful lol)
one more thing is i do prefer the default skin just because the different evolutions are way more visually distinct, which is very useful
but lots of juice, awesome visuals and sound effects- i love how the music and colors changes between and during boss battles, overall amazing game! hope this feedback helps :>
Thank you so much bro for your advices they are so useful
Super well polished, I'm always astounded how people manage to get multiplayer in to these jam games.
Hey, thanks so much! 🙏 I'm really glad
As for multiplayer in a solo project: I used PeerJS for the P2P signalling layer, The trickiest part was making the game deterministic across two machines without a central server
I generate the map from a seeded PRNG (mulberry32)
the host generates a seed and sends it to the client, so both render the exact same obstacles, boost pads, and coins without syncing every object
That would have made equal sense to me in Chinese, I'm just a lowly music composer.
i didnt understand
very cool
thank you for your feedback :)
Super polished! Simple but has great features and variations of enemies and amazing feedback. Great game!
My only complain would be its relevance with the theme. Countdown, I would assume there would be some aspect of time shortage doing something but I didn’t notice anything. The timer and the freeze time are present but that’s not a countdown.
Don’t take my words negatively! This game has good potential and can be published. I loved it! But don’t see the aspect of Countdown.
i did the freeze time counter but i think it was so small so i think u didn t notice anywhere thank you so much for your feedback
Ah, I noticed now! It is a 3 second timer on top, I see. Quite simple implementation but if there was a time crunch it would have been better since it adds up to the pressure. But regardless a really good effort and I hope to see where this game goes. Its in a really good state.
This looks and feels very vibecoded
It took a while for it to click as I didn't realise what charging did for a while until I noticed the GUI in the top left. Once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it. I would have liked to have seen mouse controls personally and perhaps a bit more tolerance when you maintain higher evolutions, eg when you hit lose your evolutions rather than outright dying. That being said, trying to juggle everything to stay alive was very fun.
