Ranked from 12 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
It fits the theme in many ways: 1. Vampy has a blood bar that drains and he has to constantly fill 2. The days are counting down 3. Each round has a timer counting down 4. He has a stamina bar which drains on use as well if that helps add to the countdown examples lol

A good set of mechanics. This town would be absolutely obliterated after a week. I never really felt threatened by the police or the panic mechanic. I think by tweaking the parameters like town layout, scream radius of effect, speed, etc it could feel more tense with the same gameplay.

Good thing the town packs themselves into buildings like its a clown car, the Count wouldn't make it past the first summer otherwise :P

I'm definitely a fan of giving the light a mechanical purpose, although the civilians were quite easy to corral even when spooked. Having a shop at the end gives secondary runs a much better feel of progression, and I'd have loved if the npcs got smarter/harder at the same time.

I did notice there is a spot in the bottom right ish where a lampost is close to a river end and the npcs got stuck quite frequently trying to path through it.

I'll be interested to see what you do post jam as you've noted, congrats on submitting. Rooting for you to get enough ratings to pass the median (13, right now)

that was a great game, loved the art style, but i feel like the guards weren't a big threat, beside that I loved it, and I was a bit disappointed when it wasn't a vampire survivor:(, but it is technically, still amazing game 10/10

Developer

Thanks! There were plans to make the flashlights beams with larger spotlights and add police who had guns, but we only really had 3 days to do it all :D

This game has a lot of charm! I like how you fit the theme in 4 different ways lol!

Vampy is adorable why would anyone run away from him, he's only out for your blood. Game was pretty fun! Loved the sound effects for the visceral screams and the music as well. Would much appreciate it if you could rate my game as well when you get the chance. Thank you!

Thank you! My daughter designed him to be "cute" lol so she will be thrilled to hear that!

Really nice sound. I had issues on browser so played on desktop instead, and it was a good decision because the play through was worth it. (I made my first Godot game for this and it is quite difficult to optimize  for web!)

Music and screaming is great audio. I ended up camping outside 2 doors and it was not too bad. Maybe remove the ability to spawn a human if you are close to the spawner? Regardless it was cool :)

Cool game. It's fairly difficult at the start of each night before the people leave their homes, but the whole game has an interesting concept. I especially like that you added upgrades for playing multiple times. I do think it would be good if you had access to that menu between nights. Good use of the theme as well!

Developer

Yeah I had considered that actually, along with more upgrades and enemy types (one was going to be a civilian variant and later some police would have guns), but time did not permit sadly lol

Yeah, time does effect what ends up in the game. My game ended up silent some I didn't prioritize SFX or music more.

Very cute, with great artwork!

This was really goofy and fun and I loved it :D

very cool core gameplay and idea, it's cool to imagine a fully fleshed out version with more and more mechanics

Developer

Yeah, we had a list of features and we had to cut out so many things in order to get it all done in time for the jam... little things from more sound effects for things, more upgrades, power up items and a "special" gauge among others.

Luna and Shira both have expressed willingness to continue dev on the game after the jam ends, so any and all feedback/suggestions are appreciated!
