Charming graphics, very creative and fun. A silly idea turned into a great game haha, kudos! :)

Developer

Thanks so much - I'm glad you had fun with it!

The game is really fun to play, and the concept is really unique, the music is quite nice, but I feel like I'm missing out a bunch of content, because I don't know how to equip something like my key, so I can't enter another building, but overall a interesting game.

Developer(+1)

Ahh yes sorry the key you get is actually the one for the attic (which you can then access the roof through).  That's kind of confusing if you don't hover over them for their item names in the inventory.  The key to the second house was hit by a last minute bug and it doesn't actually spawn when it should - sorry!  The third house is also perma-locked due to another last minute bug...  Frustratingly both of these were caused by fixing a different bug...  That IS fixed!  Don't fix your code last minute kids!

So yes sadly it is missing access to a bunch of content that is in actual fact all in there.  But at least you can still kiss anything - that is, anything else!

Submitted(+1)

Damn that really make a lot of sense, do have the same experience on getting more bugs on fixing bugs lol, that might be the reason why i'm so shocked when i saw the top 3 are over thousands or millions whatever :p

Developer(+1)

The struggle is real...

Hahaha yeah you can't really hit any record numbers kissing potty mcplant every year 🥲

Cute game idea, a point and kiss adventure mayhaps? xD

Maybe I missed something but I couldn't find any items to open doors or kiss any people, just furniture and the house which says "Come back another year" seemed to never be unlocked (but I might have missed it on one day) Wouldn't mind some direction as to what I was doing wrong cause I'd love to see more game!

Art style's charming and the UI is clean. I like a timeloop style game so the idea of knowing where things are to get better scores as time passes and I gain new knowledge is really appealing. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Maybe maybe!

Yeah sadly there were two significant bugs in the code that turned up last minute during a different last minute bug fix (we didn't notice until the next morning).  One bug stopped a bunch of items from spawning correctly - including the House 2 door key.  The other made House 3 stay locked every year.  On top of that, the people (and some other creatures you can't reach...) all need at least one item from House 2 or 3 to be collected before you can kiss them, so it made them all impossible options...  So I guess the game is now just about kissing showers and pot plants.  But people still seem to be enjoying that, they're a bunch of crazies 👀

We'll do a post-jam upload with a few enhancements that fix those bugs in the next little while if you remember to come back to it - but otherwise thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!  I'm glad you enjoyed it and still managed to appreciate our vision!

Developer(+2)

Also your game is insanely cool - I just spent way too long playing it.  Great work 🔥

Submitted(+1)

I saw aha, really appreciate it! I'll for sure keep an eye out for a post jam update, we had a bug with ours where the music player just stops randomly thanks to a unity bug we didn't know about. So our music collectibles will just sometimes not play anything for the whole playthrough ;(

Developer(+1)

Oh dude that would have killed me if I didn't get to hear one of the tracks.  They're hilarious and I was hanging out for them after I found each one.  Thankfully, I didn't get hit by that bug! (so I can understand how you missed it)

Pretty unique and interesting take on the theme i liked it, i loved the artstyle even tho i would suggest giving the main character more personality instead of a full white body, the sfx fit well and the mechanics are well executed i also loved the world and house design u made another suggestion would be is that when the player stands on front of a door to draw a placeholder of the input (in this case W) that would clarify it more, but overall great game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!  I'm glad you enjoyed what we put together.  Great suggestion about the input overlay while in front of the doors - I've done this with jams in the past but didn't even think to do it this time around!  It would add a lot of polish.  I'd love to swap out most of the text for custom UI art in a post-jam release.

Haha! What a great concept! Love the comedy!

Thanks heaps!  I hope you had a chuckle :)

Such a funny concept! I found it very satisfying to kiss furniture 10/10

Developer

Thanks so much for playing!  New Year's Eve is the one time that isn't weird.  Right...?

This game somehow convinced me that kissing furniture is a completely reasonable thing to do. I don't know how you pulled that off, but I respect it.

Developer

Thanks and I'm glad you had a bit of fun!  Watch out wardrobes and fridges, it's a whole new world!
