Howdy everybody,

I wanted to write this post to update everybody on my fs25 mods, as well as give an update on my life in general.

First, I am sorry I have been away from so long. As I have always said, modding is just something I do for fun, I have a full time job that I earn my living from and support my family with and that is why my mods have always been available for free. Thank you all for your understanding on that.

My Career

As some of you know, I am a civil engineer in training. Well at the beginning of the year, I started studying to take the Professional Engineering exam and I am excited to say that I passed on my first attempt at the end of April! So I am now officially a professional civil engineer! With that, I have gotten a lot more responsibility at work, as well as a lot more work to do. So I have been working a lot of hours.

My Personal Life

A week after I took my PE exam, my wife and I adopted a puppy! We adopted a rescue male German Shepherd puppy. He was 10 weeks old when we adopted him from the rescue and he was born 2 weeks early. He is now 5 months old, and just over 60 lbs so he is a large boy! He is fantastic, he is smart and gentle (for how big he is haha) and he is great with our other dog, a 5 year old Mini Aussie/Corgi mix! His name is Bandit (shout out Burt Reynolds) and we love him so so much!

Also this summer, my sister (in law technically) started living with us for the summer! She has been going to school and living with her roommates in a town about a half hour away, but for the summer she is working here in town and is staying with us so she doesn’t have to drive so far for work. We love having her here, my wife and I both love spending time with her and we have a 3 bedroom house that previously was just my wife and I and the two doggies so we definitely had the room for her. She would stay the night with us pretty regularly anyways so it has been great having her just stay the night with us every night! And Bandit has been great with my wife and my sister as well.

Lastly. And possibly the biggest announcement for my life. About a week after we adopted Bandit, we found out that we were pregnant! It is an absolute blessing for my wife and I. We are so excited to be expecting a little baby boy in January of 2027. We have been trying to have a baby for 2 years and it hadnt  been working, so we are incredibly excited to be blessed with a child on the way!

FS25 Railroad Mods

Okay that is enough about me, now for the updates yall actually care about! For my FS25 railroad mods, unfortunately I do not have great news. I have read all of your complaints about the derailing, and I have investigated it very thoroughly. Butt unfortunately my results are mixed at best. I have tried so many different interactions and different ways for the turnout collisions to work, and it seemed to be working okay week before last, butt yesterday when I got on again it is derailing again.. I do not know why Giants changed the way the collisions worked and why they made the changes they did. Maybe it optimized things slightly? Butt all I can tell is it has destroyed the way my railroad tracks worked.. I am going to keep trying to figure something out, but I am running out of ideas..

Good news tho! I did convert many more locomotives and many more railcars! I also figured out the ditch lights on the locomotives and I think everything is working well for locomotives and railcars. It’s not all converted, butt I do have a better selection to choose from now.

Other good news, I do intent on uploading updates for all of the railroad mods this weekend! so stay tuned for that, but be gentle on me on these collisions and derailing, I’m working on it haha. In fact, if any Giants developers or anybody that knows a developer for Giants, please reach out I would love to discuss how I could get this to work properly!

FS25 Construction Mods

With the frustrations I have been having with my railroad mods, I have gotten back into my construction mods! I have started a construction project savegame where I am installing storm sewer and sanitary sewer in a neighborhood! So I will start uploading my construction mods as I finish converting them. Terrafarm in FS25 is fantastic and it makes my construction projects just that much better!

Conclusion and Saying Thanks

So that’s a little update on my life. Again I want to apologize for being gone for so long. I want to thank you all for your support since I started posting these mods. I don’t know how much time I will have for modding in the future with a puppy and a baby on the way, butt I will try and stay a bit more active on here then I have been! Thank you all again!
