Summarize your game!
Spoopy Shoot is a game inspired by classic light-gun rail shooters found in arcades. Head into the mine in search of gold, alongside skeletons that are dangerous—yet equally hilarious!
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
It was the game jam theme that brought arcade machines to mind —devices where purchasing an extra attempt to continue playing is often the primary monetization method. However, since the game was confined to a specific platform and charging players would have been harsh, a different way to pay for the "arcade machine" had to be devised.
Feed the gold you earn into the "arcade machine" to repair your weapon. Trust me, there’s plenty more gold where that came from! You certainly won't end up in the red or meet your doom!
Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
No

I actually made a lightgun game for ludum dare a couple years ago and I remember how surprisingly difficult it was to make one of these, so good job pulling it off. The world needs more lightgun games!
The CRT effect and UI elements looked really nice and gave the game a needed visuals boost to make up for the complete lack of lighting (which i assume is a construct issue?)
While way too short, the game does feel polished and well made. I only wish I could play more than just the first level. Good job and I hope you develop it further!
Thanks!
Yes, Construct 3 is still quite weak when it comes to 3D, so I didn't want to risk using plugins for the lighting. The most time-consuming part was figuring out the formula to convert cursor coordinates from the game layout into 3D scene coordinates.
I can see that a lot of effort was put into it. Well done!
Thank you very much 🤗
