i really really enjoyed this!! the writing was cute and full of personality, I can really feel the voice in every character. The world seems very big at first and you never stop feeling like a tiny bug in a big world because of the time mechanics. After a couple attempts I wasn’t sure how much more I could find, but then I was surprised with a very silly and cool ending too! It captured a particular feeling that I’ve always been wanting to see in one of these jams.
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed!!
This was a lot of fun, I loved how expansive the world felt. The typing gameplay brought me back to when I practiced typing speed and measuring wpm, I was prepared for this game.
I tried getting all the girls, but couldn't do it. I'm not sure how to get Mystia, when I catch a fish, the rod explodes and putting only one fish in the bucket didn't seem to trigger anything. The first playthrough I gave that fish to Tewi instead, that seemed to lock me out of Mystia. And that only gave me one credit when I need multiple, so I'm not sure how to get any "goods" from Tewi.
Overall it was a lot of fun exploring and interacting with the characters, getting various fun events and blowing myself up.
Thank you for playing!
In hindsight, this is probably something I should’ve thought more about.
When you catch a fish, your held item gets ‘replaced’ by the fish, and the fishing rod drops onto the ground at your current position. But if you fish on the bridge or too close to the shore, the fishing rod (as it drops) can sometimes glitch and fall into the lake where you won’t be able to retrieve it.
Edit: Update 1.0.2 now allows you to pick up another fishing rod in case one gets lost
After playing the update I realized it probably was dropping but I just saw the explosion effect and assumed it disappeared. But I was able to get an ending and it was nice. I still haven't explored Tewi yet, I'll get to that eventually.
Really silly game.
I enjoyed the game's typing minigame and it's absurd story, alongside the map. Though completing quests was a hassle since some of my items either despawned or override the other. But I had a really fun time, and was kept hooked which I appreciate.
Thank you!
I think held items should normally drop if a character gives you a new one, but with how messy the game’s code became by the end I may have missed or forgotten about something, so sorry about that -w-
The concept of a typing game is really interesting, and it was fun to explore around the chunks of the 3D world. I was also impressed with how smoothly it ran.
I did have trouble with some of the 3D interaction sequences, mainly the parts with the fishing rod and the bomb. On the Linux 1.0.1 version, the left-clicking simply wasn't doing anything with the objects and I may have caused......
(๑•﹏•)
Aside from that, the varying character interactions added a lot and kept my interest throughout the time playing. Well done!
Thank you for playing!
Not sure I understand; picking up items is done with left-click, but to “use” them (like the fishing rod or Nazrin’s camera) it’s right-click. Unless you mean that you created too many items and couldn’t pick them up anymore?
The bomb was the particular case of having trouble interacting. My first time playing, the left-click wasn't doing anything, so I wasn't able to click the buttons or interact with the other elements.
With the fishing rod, I probably simply didn't find the fishing spot to fish from... ^.^;
The held items themselves seemed to be working okay; I was able to collect and swap them easily!
Selecting attribution in-game crashes it for some reason. Otherwise, it's kinda nifty as an open world game for a Jam, particularly with all the buildings that had to be done, but my fishing rod got overriden by Nazrin's camera at some point, which made me feel it needed a menu of sorts when you're given multiple "quests".
Thank you!
i may have forgotten to export the attribution text :p but as an alternative you can download it directly from the project page
It exploded...
