I like the game and the aesthetics. My only issue is that I don’t see how it fits the jam’s theme or limitation, but the game is fun and looks great. Good job!

Developer

Hi developer here, thank you for playing the game! Regarding your confusion on the theme and the limitation: it is not required to follow the theme of this jam, psionic, and is purely inspirational according to the rules.  And onto the limitation, you are able to use enemies to hit other enemies on collision. This is especially useful in higher waves where there are multiple enemies moving towards the player at the same time. And without much time to react and drag them away individually, hitting enemies with enemies is the only way to survive in these situations and increase your psi bar. Hope you have a great time playing!

Thanks for the explanation! I know the themes are usually just for inspiration, but I always love to understand the design decisions and how everyone thinks. Making any game requires a lot of time and effort, so I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. My ‘good job’ was completely genuine!

BEAUTIFUL presentation

For what it’s worth, I found the inverted direction (move mouse right to slingshot virus left) fun. Though admittedly it did take me a minute to realize how it worked & get a feel for it.

This was a fun game, nice work!

Great entry. The artwork is very impressive and feels professionally made. If I had any constructive feedback it would be that I think it would've been better to control the angle you will launch the bugs by the actual direction of the mouse rather than the inverted direction (move mouse to the right it'd move the line that direction instead of left)
