This is so much more fleshed out than many of the other games in this series Bmarzi :D Well done on it! The gameplay is a little clunky yeah but I enjoyed everything else about it. Gotta love that opening cutscene too wow!
always glad to see some Dunks! Nice work.
Hahaha... it makes me happy that people have nicknames and expectations for Detective Duncan. Also, your joke about him being too fat of a cop to jump was hilarious... that's for sure more believable than me, the dev, simply not designing it well... let's go with that.
This feels a lot more expansive than the previous parts of the series, especially with the various cutscenes and biome changes. I do like all the different ways you have to fight the villain (though I agree that the platforming is a little clunky sometimes). But yeah this is a fun adventure that's pretty good about not taking it self too seriously, and I enjoyed playing it.
Thanks pal. I wanted this game to be more interactive but also didn't want it to feel redundant or lackluster. I'm glad the different levels and changing backgrounds did just that. I know the levels could have been longer, and I need to modify the jump mechanic, I think if he jumps just a little higher than the game will flow better.
I thought his slow climb up the ledges was because he was a fat cop. (one who eats donuts all day in their cruiser)
The Detective Duncan series continues to have some of the funniest and most charming writing of any flowjam game.
Thanks my guy... what did you think about the intro and outro? I wanted to go more cinematic this time. Also, were all the levels easy to figure out? I was a bit worried about the lava pit level...
I loved the cutscenes! It was a cool effect that worked really well at keeping things interesting and adding some immersion. And the levels weren't difficult to understand, or at least I was never stuck on any of them. For the lava pit level I just kept moving until I got him in the right spot which didn't take long.
The jump mechanic felt a bit clunky on some parts of it, but overall, another really good Dunkin game! This one reminds me of
"The Game of Death"The Most Dangerous GameThanks, I'll mess around with the jump mechanic to try and improve it. Not sure which "Game of Death" you are referring to... but I have to assume it, much like my game, is based off the 1924 short story "Most Dangerous Game".
Wait yeah I meant Most Dangerous Game. Sry for the Mix up
