Interesting idea. ESC is just a bummer! I couldn't get over it. The game is clearly not up to this kind of jam.

I really like the idea and it's super unique. Well there are still a few bugs where you can get stuck into walls with the cube, but overall I'm really impressed by the visuals and the gameplay
I like the idea, it is really creative. I ran into some bugs like getting crushed into the ground/walls, camera getting stuck ect. Also it is really hard to strategize and solve puzzles with the speed of the blocks and the camera system. It is still a lot of fun and rewarding to work through the puzzles I did.
Interesting idea, this feels like a mish-mash of sidescroller and top down mechanics!
If you want to make this a puzzle game, i agree with the other comment, you should slow down the blocks.
if you want to make this a momentum platformer (which could also be cool) in which the player goes fast with the blocks, you should lean into that and remove the one-room camera system.
At one point i got softlocked because a block got on the ceiling but i could restart :)
nice entry, i was pleasantly suprised by the main mechanic!
Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to lean into the momentum platformer idea but the game was originally made for a 48 hr long game jam. I know thats no excuse but I couldn't make any interesting momentum related puzzles in the time that was left.I submitted this game here to get some feedback for improvement.
I've made a few changes now to fix some of the bugs . You can try it out again if you like :)
Very cool idea and concept. It is difficult to jump, think and react. IMO, the game speed is too fast. Particularly, the moving speed of the blocks. How I see it the game is a puzzle game and therefore the high speed is not needed, even harmful. Please play around with much slower movement speed (at most 10% of the current speed, maybe even slower.
It might be that my partly solutions were totally wrong, but I stepped on a block and moved it upwards, were I got pushed into the wall (ceiling) there. Is that correct that way? It looks "wrong" and also allows no movement, pressed to the wall like that. If it's intentionally that way, would there be a way to let it look right and also maybe allow some action? For example: either
(a) make the player smaller and leave a hole in the cealing - not sure, seems a bad idea and looks bad, or:
(b) the upward moving block with player on top only moves to the 1-but-last position before the ceiling and the player is not _in_ the ceiling but 1 place below. Should you move left/right, then the block moves 1 space up and is directly below the ceiling.
Also, as the solution to a problem requires action in different screens, it would be good, if the player could "look up" / "look left" / ...right / ...down (eg pressing SHIFT+WASD for temporary screen change). So, the player can see what is there and think about what to do.
