I’ve just updated the demo for The Endless Night with a major rework of the ally system.
Allies now have player-controlled abilities, so you can decide when to heal, defend, suppress enemies, change formation, or use more specialized actions. The roster has also expanded with The Masked Vigilante, The Mayor, and The Mob Boss.
Spell cards received a substantial visual redesign as well, with clearer source symbols, combo information, targeting, and effect presentation.
The free Windows demo includes the complete first act:

For this round, I’d particularly appreciate feedback on:
- Whether the Ally Ability menu is easy to understand
- Whether controlling allies adds meaningful decisions without slowing combat down
- Whether the redesigned spell cards make recipes and effects clearer
- Which allies feel useful, confusing, overpowered, or underpowered
- Any bugs involving targeting, abilities, or sigils

Thanks to anyone who gives the new build a try.
