Great job and idea! I'd love a full game where you transcribe tapes that are holding some deeper story between them! The controls were overwhelming, but I kind of liked it, and I picked up on everything pretty quick. I do agree with sportaduck in that the text occasionally hurt my eyes due to the effects.

This is a really interesting idea! I think it has a lot of potential and would love to see where this project goes, or how the concept could be explored in a different project. My only critique is while I liked VHS style, the screen flickering was kinda hard to read after a while. But overall pretty neat for a first jam submission!
