The art and music are really nice. The movement was a bit jittery at times and I couldn't quite figure out how to fight the first anime I would try to swing and it would just lock up. Also the level felt a bit empty till the first enemy which took a while to get to.

Yeah, our game was mostly a proof of concept (an unfinished one at that) as we went a little crazy with the scope. Nevertheless, the core team (including me) decided to continue working on the game and finish our vision, so stay tuned if you like the idea!

Clicking the first time works and plays an attack animation, but then the character's walk cycle is frozen on one frame, at least I can still move. However, clicking a second time after that causes the character to freeze and I cant move anymore and must restart the game. Due to this bug, I cannot play the game to completion. Don't know if you can do any other movement besides walking (space doesnt jump, w doesn't go up ladders, etc). Art looks good and the music is nice.

Thank you so much for checking it out! We did bit off a little more than we could chew here. We are very aware of how broken the game is, our intention was to grow this game to a full metroidvania. Because of that we kept our code fairly readable so we intend to expand it into a fully-fledged game!
