nice work, i think this is a really cool concept for an infinite runner type of game. and kind of a grim commentary on war itself being a meat grinder for human life. good mix of simple mechanics with just 2 buttons, it works really nice. would love to see this just polished up with some better art.
Thanks for sharing your project. Glad you have a How To Play screen but right now it's a wall of text, having some images, using bold text, headings, etc. would really help make it easier to parse.
I really appreciate the effects you have on the screen to really add some polish during gameplay. Having some additional movement on the title screen I think could really help as well.
It took me awhile to figure out to use charge while jumping over to get more distance but once I did I was able to get farther. I may consider moving the health bars to the top left and maybe add some additional feedback there to show you lost health.
Good work!
Thanks very much for the detailed feedback! I've just pushed an update with an improved HUD, clearer How to Play screen, damage effects, and more visual polish. Really appreciate you playing! 👍
I like sound effects and how the guy charges!
Thank you! Glad you liked the sound effects and the charge mechanic!
Lol, very nice. I like the sfx and the guy shouting "charge!"
Thank you! 😄 Glad the "CHARGE!" and sound effects stood out!
the ww1 runner formula keeps working, and the whistle before the charge is a great opener. distance-through-obstacles reads instantly. played tea in the trenches vibes immediately, nice to see a sequel inside a jam. good luck mate
Thank you very much for the feedback . small update just dropped
