Cool intermission-type adventure with a nice random chart.
I really like the visual vibes and the way you interpeted the title. This could also come in handy as a supplement for another adventure or setting.
Fun little adventure to plug into a campaign or as a one-shot. I love the rewards, specially the monster limb! Good job!
unexpected yet hide in plain sight turn to the prompt. That's what means to think out of the box, a npc/questgiver/subsystem/whatnot in a couple pages. Great use of public domain art too. Very creative, very powerful.
Thanks a lot! I was lucky to find an old public domain artist that fitted perfectly the theme I was going for :)
I thought we were going on an island adventure, but no! It’s a sandbox with hooks attached to bring into a campaign in need of some going-ons!
Love the artwork picked and how it’s used. Love the cold opening.
It’s a world of Wolpertingers. What’s not to like? :)
Great use of public domain illustrations. Very easy to understand and run. I could see him being an ongoing NPC. It’s an Adventure but also a resource. Dig the limb graft reward. I would 100% choose that.
The design of this is so damn clean. The tables are really nice and easy to use, they're a really great resource. The flavour given by the quests and unique rewards just make this that much better as well.
Beautiful clean layout. Really solid, captivating world building. I would love for you to expand on it with an adventure, and more location details of the Demiurge's domain. While I appreciate the inclusion of adventure hooks, I think it would require a lot of prep from the GM. Would love to see a couple more pages of content :)
Gorgeous layout and design.
Great use of multi-column random tables.
Obviously you're space-limited by the nature of this jam, I would have liked to see you engage with the amoral nature of the Demiurge's behavior -- his "failed" experiments being left to fight for survival in exile sounds pretty horrific.
I enjoy how simple and captivating the text was to read. It immediately conjured in my mind the idea that this is probably the dude that came up with an owlbear and let it loose. Seems like it would be fun to roll some of the Demiurge’s creatures even without (or before) introducing the character!
About the owlbear, I don't know if you read the project page beforehand, but that's exactly what I wrote there! I would have loved to put some of those quotes in the module but didn't have the room to do so unfortunately
I hadn’t! Only the PDF itself. It’s nice that it invokes that even without a direct quote to confirm.
This is really cool as a non-dungeon resource and I love the chimera making table!
Given the limitations this is a great piece but obviously the Demiurge's realm can't be described much here. Would love to see this expanded into a 8 - 12 page zine.
I would have loved to map the domain but it didn't fit unfortunately.
Thanks for your feedback!
Heya!
I'm working on coordinating a bundle with as many SD creators as we can get together. If you'd be interested find me on Discord!
I sent you a DM over discord, I'll let you check it out!
This seems like a fun re-usable adventure that would be great for last minute session when a few players are missing. The generators are great as well.
Thanks! And yes you're right, since the module has a gonzo vibe, I think it would be best used to pad some downtime in a campaign or something like that :)
Ooh, very neat tables. I love the idea of sprinkling in errands/cleanup for godlike wizard's pets/experiments. Very clever use of the prompt!
Thank you! I wondered if I stretched the prompt a bit too far so I'm glad that you mentioned it!
