fun game but needs work wrt optimization

Developer

Thank you for playing! πŸ™Œ Glad you had fun with it. You're right about the optimization — I had to keep the development time very tight for the jam, so I didn't get much time for a proper optimization pass. Definitely something I'll work on if I continue developing it. πŸ¦–

The gameplay was pretty good, albeit a bit laggy, idk if it's my problem tho, nice game!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! πŸ™Œ Yeah, optimization was one thing I unfortunately couldn't spend enough time on before the deadline. I built the game under a very tight time constraint, so I had to prioritize getting the core game finished and submitted. Glad you still enjoyed the gameplay! πŸ¦–

he dino feels too big for this genre; its tail kept clipping into rocks and making me lose. The gameplay is a bit too simple and repetitive right now—it definitely needs more varied and complex challenges as you progress. Nice effort, though!

Developer
Thank you for the detailed feedback! πŸ™Œ You're right about the dinosaur size and the clipping — that's definitely something I'd fix in a more polished version. I also agree that the gameplay could use more variety and progressively harder challenges. I had to cut a few things due to the jam's time limit, but this gives me a good direction for a future update. Thanks for playing! πŸ¦–

I really liked the 3D graphics, they look really good. The only thing is that the jump doesn’t work. I loved the retro-style sounds in the game, though. Congratulations on the game!

Thank you so much! πŸ™Œ I'm really glad you liked the 3D graphics and the retro-style sounds! The jump was actually disabled intentionally because I wasn't happy with how it felt and didn't have enough time before the deadline to rework it properly. I decided to leave it out rather than ship a movement mechanic I wasn't satisfied with. Really appreciate you playing and giving feedback! πŸ¦–

The 3D art in this looks great! My only qualm was that the controls were rather delayed and the jump never worked. That may just be my computer being too slow though

Thank you for playing! πŸ™Œ Really glad you liked the 3D art! The jump was intentionally disabled because I wasn't happy with how it felt and didn't have enough time to rework it properly before the deadline. The input delay is something I'll definitely investigate though — especially since optimization was one area I didn't have much time to work on. Appreciate the feedback! πŸ¦–
