Project: PROVITA's itch.io pageArtistic Statement / Use of Theme
Project: Provita is a game about planting seeds on a planet ravaged by humanity’s poor decisions, leading to catastrophic climate change. The player takes control of the Environmental Restoration Unit, also known as the Greenkeeper, who's tasked with analyzing the plants of the world, restoring the biomes through planting, and completing tasks for different animals in service of restoring the planet’s environment to its prior glory. The game calls players to take small steps towards climate resolution, as they are all it takes to begin change.
Development Summary
Over the course of development, the team faced and overcame many challenges, including crashes and more. Through development, particularly in the final couple of weeks, much had to be cut from our original scope, including many plants that were planned for the world, but were unable to be implemented due to time reasons, a number of planned music tracks that would correspond to both area and player progression, the entire in-inventory crafting system, and the ocean biome which was originally planned, but also had to be cut due to concerns for time.
(optional) Release Plan
The game is currently in early alpha, and a trailer and promotional screenshots have been developed for the game in regard to marketing.
(optional) Further Development Plan
In the future, the team plans on fixing current glitches and issues with features in the current features, as well as adding new features, such as a new biome to the world of the game, as well as more details about the humans who existed in the world prior to the events of the game.

The game kept freezing on me in WebGL when I used the shovel.
super awesome, folx. thanks for the inspiration.
The writing of this was amazing and the visuals were so cute and fun! There is so much to explore and I think this is a really great start, I hope to get to see more of this soon!!
Dialogue is great! I really like the map and theme as well. Can't wait to see where this goes :)
Incredible take on the theme, very engaging characters and narrative (dialogue especially is excellent)
Very ambitious game! I love how narrative-heavy it is. I would suggest making more information available on the map, i.e., the names of interactable/collectible items and names of NPCs. Also, I kept getting lost and had to restart the game a few times before I memorized the map, so I would really appreciate a mini-map or a button to teleport back home.
Hugely ambitious project! I really like to see teams swinging for the fences in longer scoped game jams like this. I really like the atmosphere you guys created and the unique world-building in the narrative. I might suggest a slightly brisker pacing at the start to get the player into the thick of things a little sooner, it's a bit front-loaded at the moment. I suppose my game has the same problem. Thanks for the game, I enjoyed it!
There is a huge map to explore. This could have been fun if there had been a clear objective. Probably I just missed some information. Overall this seems like an ambitious project with very nice art and music. As a side note there is a lot of lagging, but this could be explained by my old Mac.
Amazing work! I really love the atmospheric elements and the way the narrative builds in this game!
