This is such a sweet premise, the character art and UI are so lovely! It's a bit buggy right now but would love to see this expanded into a full game with more complex letters!

Fun idea for a game! A small UI tutorial would help because I was lost for a bit on how to send the letters lol the art is amazing!

Congrats on your first game and game jam, this is an amazing first creation! The art is super cute. I can't wait to see more characters in the future. It was interesting to see how the player, as the writer, would be changing the dialogue to be in letter form, e.g. changing pronouns and such to make it match more or leaving out the incidentals. Really subtle detail, but really writes home what this game is about. 😅

I ended up submitting a blank letter as I scrolled past their dialogue and they left. I don't think you need the extra click/selection window, as the player is already scrolling and reading through the dialogue as their selection to add to the letter. Just have that be it and have fold be the dismiss the character button, so then the player can't get locked into a sad state where they weren't done. (And as another mentioned the send button was a bit fiddly at activating, if its time locked for a second then it should be grayed out during that period or appear after.) It could be fun to stamp/seal the letter closed.

I'm glad there were ratings at the end, though maybe shifts could occur a bit more frequently to get a progress report earlier to know you're on the right track. And as others have said, a wider variety of dialogue and personality to each character will go a long way.

I hope you decide to do a v2 post-jam!

what a unique idea! it was pretty fun putting the letters together, the send & bell buttons were a little fiddly for me at times though. very adorable game with cute art!

Really cool an interesting concept! With a bit more characters and dialogue options, it would be great. Also the art and sound design are great.

what a cool concept! i kinda wish there were a little more variation in the text, i also got a lot of the same character in a row, but otherwise, it's great! love the art a lot, super impressive for a first game!

Thanks! I also thought the same thing but didn't have time to fix it, glad I wasn't crazy

I really liked that game ! And for a first ever game, it's impressive. The vibe reminds me a bit of Paradise Killer.

Love the principle ! The only comments I would make are that the sentences repeat themselves a lot, the send button is hidden by the letter sprite and difficult to click on, and it's a bit sad we can't go back to the character if we click on the last arrow after her dialogue.

Great job ! And the esthetism is really amazing.

Thanks for playing! Paradise killer seems really cool, so I'm glad my silly game reminded you of it

After submitting my first letter, the game sorts of just hangs out in the empty scene. But love the visual and sound!

My bad gang.. thanks for playing though!

I think the game should progress if you click on the bell! Fooled me at first, too.
