Really nice build, its a little confusing for me with all the options but the artwork is beautiful and the UI is very cool
The game is really fun and fits the Jams theme perfectly. It's truly successful.
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the game and felt that the CHARGE theme came through clearly. I truly appreciate you taking the time to play and leave such encouraging feedback. Good luck with Clean Shot in the voting too!
Nice music and cool spritework. The screen was a bit large on my screen so I wasn't able to see all of the text and Ctrl++ and Ctrl+Scrollwheel seemed to be disabled so I wasn't able to scale on my end but what I was able to see was cool.
Thanks for playing, and thank you for the helpful report! I’m really glad you enjoyed the music and spritework. You’re right that the fixed game canvas can be difficult to view on smaller screens, especially if browser zoom is being blocked. I’ll investigate the responsive scaling and zoom behavior. Thanks for flagging it!
Cool graphics and design! Audio is a bit laggy on my setup.
Thanks for playing, and thank you for the heads-up! I’m really glad the graphics and design landed well. I’ll investigate the Web audio performance and see if I can make playback more stable. If you happen to remember which browser or device you used, that information would be helpful—but no pressure.
click to raise numbers and shoot the cyberdog, thats cool
Thank you! That’s exactly the loop I hoped would feel satisfying: click, raise the numbers, and dismantle increasingly ridiculous machine beasts. I’m glad the cyberdog made a good first impression!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and ambition here. The pixel-art mechs and machine-beasts look fantastic, and "CHARGE is ammunition, cores are evolution" is one of the cleanest theme reads in the jam — charge doubling as both your damage resource AND your upgrade currency ties the whole loop together. I did a Swarm Matriarch hunt: manual clicks + the always-on auto cannon both dealing damage and generating charge feels good, and the skill tree is genuinely deep (5 gears, tiers, that huge node web) — buying Impact Coil and watching Combo Gear/Critical Math unlock next to it gave real "just one more node" pull. Nice touch that auto-fire keeps ticking while the tree is open.
One concrete bit of feedback from a desktop/mouse playthrough: the big "PURCHASE / UPGRADE" button (and the node tiles) didn't respond to my mouse clicks — even with enough charge and the button lit teal, clicking it did nothing. I could only actually buy nodes by selecting one and pressing Enter/A on the keyboard. A mouse-only or touch player might conclude upgrades are broken and bounce, so wiring pointer/tap clicks to that button would remove a real first-session snag. Everything else played great — well done!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback—and especially for catching the mouse issue. You were absolutely right: keyboard/controller purchasing still worked, but pointer input could fail in the Web build. I’ve just deployed a fix for mouse and touch purchasing on both the node tiles and the PURCHASE / UPGRADE button, and added regression tests for those paths. A full page refresh may be needed to load the updated build. I really appreciate the detailed report and the kind words about the CHARGE/core loop and skill tree!
That was fast — nice work turning the mouse/touch purchasing fix around mid-jam, and adding regression tests for those paths is exactly the right call. Happy the report helped. I'll give the updated build another spin. Good luck in the voting!
Thanks again—I really appreciate you taking the time to retest the updated build. Your report helped make the game better for everyone. Good luck with CHARGE! in the voting too!
