馃嚮馃嚜 Venezuela Earthquake Relief Bundle - Call for Creators 馃嚮馃嚜

We are organizing a charity co-op bundle on itch.io to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. All proceeds (minus payment processing fees) will go directly to C谩ritas Venezuela, with whom we are currently coordinating to make this work.

This jam is the coordination hub for creators who want to contribute their work. If you're a game developer, artist, writer, musician, or any kind of digital creator, please join and submit your project.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit multiple projects? Yes! You are welcome to submit as many projects as you like, be it video games, TTRPGs, asset packs, comics, soundtracks, zines, or any other digital creation. Both new and existing projects are welcome.

Are there any rules for what I can submit? Submissions must be your own original work. We also ask that projects do not contain racist, transphobic, homophobic, sexist, or ableist content. Beyond that, all genres and formats are welcome.

How do I participate?

  1. Join this jam (click the "Join" button).
  2. Submit your project(s) through the jam page. Include a link to your itch.io project page and a brief description of what you're contributing.
  3. After the submission deadline, the organizer will create the bundle on itch.io and send you a private approval link. You must approve it for the bundle to go live.

Will I receive a share of the sales?

No. 100% of the proceeds go directly to C谩ritas Venezuela. This is a charity bundle, everyone contributes their work for free. Your reward is knowing you're helping thousands of people in need.

How long will the submission period last?

June 26th to July 3rd. Please submit before the deadline.

When will the bundle go live?

July 7th and will run for approximately 14 days.

How much will the bundle cost?

$10 USD, with higher donations encouraged.

Which charity will this support?

We are targeting C谩ritas Venezuela as our charity partner. They have a long history of providing emergency relief across the country, and we believe they are the best organization to channel these funds effectively.

Important status update: I am currently in active conversations with C谩ritas to finalize their registration (onboarding) on itch.io's payment system. While we wait for their official reply, I am moving forward with gathering creators and projects right now. This way, the moment they confirm and their account is set up, we can publish the bundle immediately with no delays, no wasted time.

I will keep everyone posted via the jam's community feed as soon as I have a definitive answer from them. Rest assured, 100% of the funds will always go directly to a registered charity, never to me or any individual organizer.

I have more questions. Who do I contact?

Please reach out via the jam's community section, or contact the organizer directly at anassiff@disroot.org.

How can I help spread the word?

Share this jam page with other creators! The more projects we have, the bigger the impact. You can also share the bundle page once it's live on your social media, newsletters, and with any media outlets you know.

Together, we can make a real difference. Let's show what our community can do when we come together for a cause that matters. Thank you for your generosity.

This FAQ says the bundle was supposed to go live on July 7th and run for 14 days, but I can only find this page for the jam, not for the bundle, and the jam says it's still open for submissions. Will you clarify? Thank you!

Hi! Yeah, that was a very optimistic date on my end. The bundle needs a charity to work together with us to be able to link their profile, however, I haven't been able to find a charity willing to work together with :( I'll make an announcement this week on what the possible next steps are, because this has gone for longer than I expected

Cant you just collect the money earned through this bundle and provide the % you want to said charity supporting this?

HostSubmitted

Yeah, I wanted to avoid getting the money myself and just linking it to the NPO because how straightforward it looked, but I'll have to just go with this other option of me getting the money

Submitted

I dont think anyone minds, as long as most of the money goes to where it was supposed to go to.
