It's funny how something as simple as the terrifying mutant tree having Speed 2 instills a sense of dread on all its own. I don't want to picture that! Really fun and fascinating design. I like a lot of it. I will second what ohartenstein23 siad and say I don't really get the "Endless Mirth" part from most of its design, despite the ability names. Also, half-damage triggers on solos can feel really bad, and Friend or Foe probably deserves to cost more Malice. I dig the inclusion of extra adds in the fight, and the overall flavor here is quite unsettling. Great job!

Enjoyed that this solo monster implies a horror-themed Timescape campaign!

The creature's mechanics didn't quite hit with me, felt like I needed a bit more to sell me on this statblock telling the story from your flavor text. Would love to get a bit more about how the abilities really fill the horror vibe!

Horrifying lil solo monster you got here! Love how the mechanics and implied narrative of it weave together.

Similarly to Snow, I find the idea of an immobile boss teleporting a bit strange... but in a way its also alien and amusing, so I also kinda dig it. This is a fun submission, good work.

I'm definitely using this.

Very evocative! If you were to expand this, I would love to learn more about the life cycle of how this monster operates.

The mechanics with seeds and roots has a nice flow to it, but I would have liked to see more abilities that play on the forced laughter and mirth mentioned in the flavor text. I also find the Shifty Trigger a bit confusing - why is a mostly immobile tree teleporting around?

Overall a really fun read and could easily be added in any timescape adventures or grimdark settings!

What could be a very spooky tree. I'd look to rework its fluff for my setting, but there is a lot of good design in this submission for any Director to use.

This is a very flavorful entry. I really enjoyed the creepy vibe it gives. Not part of the judging criteria, but I also quite liked the art.

More early-echelon solos has always been a desire. :D

I really like the concept of this monster, it feels really original and horrifying. The abilities also do a great job of translating the concept into mechanics, with all the forced movement and exhausting the heroes stamina. It sounds like this is meant to be an alien threat in the upper worlds, but for Vasloria games I think it would also work very well as some kind of fey threat in a wode somewhere.

My only gripe is that I really don't see any connection between the project and the "one year of draw steel" theme. Very cool as it's own thing though!
