Ah I really wanted to solve it but just couldn't. In the end I was guessing; I think having hints available would be helpful, and maybe some easier way of selecting the suspect and location at the end? This definitely got me hooked and I was definitely engaged. Mechanically there's a lot there that works. I wonder if visualisation of some elements would make connecting the dots easier. I guess that's why crime drama detectives have whiteboards with mugshots, red strings and post-its :D

I won't have time to play this before the voting deadline, but I'm looking forward to it! On a quick look, though, I noticed that the text is very low contrast, and I'm having a bit of a hard time reading it (it's not unreadable by any means, but it is hurting my eyes). Darkening it and/or using a thicker font would make a big difference for its readability to me!

Felt the exact same fog as when I played TR-49 (laudatory). The thoughtful touches on the interface made interaction for non-deducers possible: the lists, the hints, the counters, the string constructors. I wouldn't be case-sensitive in the input, but otherwise playing was smooth. Hard to bring up said influences because then it feels like we can compare, which is unfair, but the clue variety meant that brute forcing was viable. And for a brute like me that's a problem, but you can't design around such ferality.

if you brute force, you get the full story and suffer boring bits, and that's perfectly fair to me !

Played, unlocked a 50+ clues, but eventually got stuck due to not taking notes.

Might give it another try, but I suspect I'd need a cross table for all the people & locations which feels a bit too much.

It's indeed needed if you want to solve it all. Hope you got to enjoy part of the story.
