Fun concept. My one note that I haven't seen mentioned is that Nerves of Steel feels more like a title than a perk. Perks can have some combat usage, but they're noncombat-first, and 2/3 of the benefits here are combat-only. Otherwise, I also like the grab bag approach and the fun interpretations!
Thanks for checking it out! Good thinking with the perk, I'll see if I can have a swap round of things if I do a version 2. Glad you enjoyed overall! :)
This is a fun grab-bag of features for the game! Some of the Revenant features look a lil too strong, but the ideas behind them are still enjoyable and the rest of the document seems pretty solid! As others have said, this was a unique and clever way to approach the prompt. Fine work.
Hey, thanks very much! :)

We're a big fan of the grab bag nature of this submission, it makes it very easy to take the things you like, and leave the things that don't interest you as much. -Psiocratic Press
The Revenant options take the cake. -Jacob
Thanks to you both! That "take what you want and leave the rest" kind of energy was exactly what I was trying to capture - really glad that came across.
Very clever way to use the theme as inspiration.
The complication is FUN! I think the drawback is a bit punishing, the player is REALLY playing on hardcore mode.
Absolutely using the plan a surprise party. That’s my favorite part of this.
Overall, this was very creative, well done!
Thanks so much! Yeah, my thinking for the title was that the prerequisite could also cover, for example, "be the last hero standing against a solo or leader and defeat them" which might be a little easier (but purposefully still challenging) to achieve - but I think in an updated version I'll make it slightly less niche haha.
So glad you like the surprise party! If you end up using it, do let me know how it goes :)
A creative way of breaking down the title of the Jam. I really like the Surprise Party Downtime. Can totally see myself pulling all but one player into this out of game, to align it to a players actual birthday with that of their characters.
Thank you! Yeah, that'd definitely be a really fun way to incorporate it and make players feel extra special, good thinking :)
The time loop complication is really creative and I like the surprise party downtime!
Thank you, really appreciate it!
A creative way of approaching the theme: each word of One Year of Draw Steel represents a different aspect of the game, giving players themed options. And all of them are usable!
My only note is that Made of Tin is way too overpowered for 1 ancestry point. It's even overpowered for 2! I know it's the only way to properly represent the fantasy, but the drawback just can't outweigh the benefits.
Thanks for checking it out and for your feedback, really appreciate it! :)
