Edit: I’ve started working on one of the projects I was reached out to with now! Thank you all so much for the responses!
Hey! I'm looking to work on a game with some people, either for fun / portfolios or potentially revshare if the project goes somewhere.
I work best in small teams, ideally with me as the primary programmer or working alongside one other programmer. Genre-wise, I am pretty open, with my prior experience largely being in Roguelikes, Online Co-op, and Incrementals. That is to say that I would be ecstatic to contribute to a project of another genre such as a Turn-Based RPG, Strategy, or Visual Novel game. At the end of the day, I want to work with people with a dream, so that I can make it real. As long as you keep supplying assets and ideas, they'll keep getting implemented.
As for some of my qualifications, I am a programmer with experience in Godot and am nearing my bachelors in Computing with a focus in Computer Science. As for what is in my skillset with Godot and programming, I can:
- Work with Python, C++, C#, and GDScript
- Maintain Peer-To-Peer State Synchronization over Steam Relay networking and LAN
- Manage UI
- Create Rudimentary Models for Testing Purposes
- Create 3D, 2D, Turn-Based, and Realtime Gameplay
- Simulate Ragdoll Physics
- Manage Save Files with Simple Encryption
However, there are also some things that I would like to note that are outside of my skillset:
- Servers for Competitive Multiplayer Environments
- Non-Procedural or Highly Complex Procedural Animation
- Music, illustration, spritework, and serious 3D modelling are pretty much outside my skillset.
If you're working on something and need a programmer, feel free to reach out over Discord! I'm happy to hear about basically any idea and will try to respond day-of.
