🎨 Artists Wanted for V59
V59 is a vibrant 2D espionage RPG currently in pre-production under Aterium, an indie game studio run by a team of teen and young-adult developers.
The game combines visual novel storytelling with RPG systems, exploration, social manipulation, strategy, and a world heavily influenced by fashion, pop culture, and espionage.
Visually, we’re aiming for something stylish, colorful, dramatic, and expressive, drawing inspiration from fashion editorials, 2000s pop culture, anime, hip-hop/R&B aesthetics, and stylish RPGs. We want V59 to have a really recognizable visual identity rather than looking like another generic indie RPG.
We’re Looking for Artists!
We’re open to all kinds of artists and different levels of involvement.
We’re interested in:
- Character artists
- Illustrators
- Sprite artists
- Concept artists
- Background/environment artists
- UI artists
- Graphic designers
- Animators
- Promotional/key art artists
- Artists with other visual specialties that could fit the project
You also do not have to commit to joining the team long-term.
If you’d rather contribute one or two pieces of promotional art, a character illustration, a graphic, or another small contribution and then dip, that’s completely okay. We’re happy to work with artists based on their availability and what they actually want to contribute.
For artists who are interested in staying involved, there are opportunities to take on a larger role in the game’s development.
What You Get
V59 is intended to become a commercial game, and contributors can build real portfolio material from an actual game project while working alongside other young indie developers.
The project uses a revenue-share model, meaning contributors can have a financial stake in the game’s eventual success.
The exact responsibilities, contribution, and revenue-share terms are discussed and agreed upon before anyone joins. We want everyone involved to know exactly what they’re agreeing to.
If you’re a student, young artist, aspiring game artist, hobbyist, or someone who simply wants to work on an interesting project, we’d love to see your work.
If interested, send me:
• Your portfolio or examples of your work
• Whether you’re interested in ongoing collaboration or a smaller one-off contribution
• Your general availability
You can also check out the V59 development log to see what we’re currently working on and where the project is headed.
We’re excited to meet artists who want to help make V59 look as insane as it should!
