How does the game fit the theme?
"There's Always Something Better" fits this game jam's theme of "Trust No One" because that's what the main character learns throughout the story. In the beginning of the story, John The Knight trusts people who tell him that the Desperation Course is the only way for him to achieve success. But as the game continues, he realizes that he has to trust himself and make his one success, not seek other people's version of his success.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Main Player: Knight from Brackey's asset (itch.io assets)
Font: Brackey's asset bold font(itch.io assets)
Buttons: CyanNeon UI Pack by Uryon Games (itch.io assets)
Starting Music: TV Music by Kulakovka (Pixabay)
Level Music: Upbeat Quirky Background Jazz by Music_For_Videos (Pixabay)
Laugh Track: 90's Sitcom Laugh Track by ArtificiallyInspired (Pixabay)

It was hard but I finished it I think ! The fact that the 3rd level didn't have any ending was a bit frustrating, but I was happy to see the end of the story for John Knight after replaying it a second time and choosing to exit
Hi, just wanted to give you a notice about the lack of an ending of the 4th level.(which is what I assume you meant). After completing the 4th level, there was supposed to be a cutscene that I had made, but I forgot to incorporate it. Sorry for that, that's my bad. I put the ending cutscene in my screenshots if you wanted to check it out.
(btw I played your game and it was super fun!)
I couldn't complete the game it is too hard, the second jump is timing perfect. Played for 20 min nonetheless
Thank you for playing! sorry you couldn't finish. But if I may, what "second jump" are you talking about? If it's actually the second jump, you can use roll(Z) + jump to get throught that gap.
