How does the game fit the theme?
*Don't read for spoiler*

The seemingly normal and friendly sheriff is the serial killer whose murders the player has been investigating. In the end when you are about to catch him he kills you.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I reused the player controller and interaction system from my main project. Art assets are a mix of assets made by me, Pizza Doggy's psx assets and sound for pixaby.

Nice ide and executed just well. Needs a bit polishing but atmosphere is really good.

Our game COUNTED is here if you still have a slot:

The atmosphere is really well done. I liked the feeling of real rain and cold, despite the large pixels and PS1-2 graphics. That said, I found some game-breaking bugs and had to close the game to restart it. I really liked it, but right away I didn’t want to play it a third time.

I’m leaving these here in case you want to fix them after the game jam. One (and not a very important one) is that if you’re running and press Esc, the character in the background keeps running nonstop.

The first bug that broke the game was that if I discovered all the clues but, instead of going back to the computer, I clicked on the photo in the center, the game wouldn’t let me select anything. The mouse cursor disappeared.

The second bug that broke the game was when I skipped the clues section and entered the results directly. Then the screen went black and nothing happened.

Good game, kinda laggy though

Yeah, I was having trouble with windows since I'd never used terrain3d and it feels a bit laggy.
